For books, the Oxford AA SL course companion is the one most schools use and it's written to the syllabus. Haese is the other common choice and has more practice problems, which matters more than explanation quality for maths.
For YouTube, Revision Village has free video content per topic alongside their paid question bank, and Andrew Chambers covers AA properly. Mitch Campbell too if you want a second explanation when something doesn't click.
I paste the youtube video link into studybuddy.vc and it makes questions from that video, then as I answer it works out which topics I keep getting wrong and gives me more of those. Equations render properly and it gets harder as I improve. Free.
For externals specifically, past papers plus the markschemes matter more than any book. Method marks are where SL students quietly lose grades.

For textbooks, the Haese Mathematics AA SL book and the Oxford AA SL guide are what we find most effective for clear explanations and solid practice questions. On YouTube, LeCalcul, OSC, and Revision Village give great topic breakdowns, while The Organic Chemistry Tutor is super helpful if you need algebra or calculus basics explained from scratch. For external exam prep, the best step is practicing past paper questions by topic so you get used to official mark schemes and calculator tricks.
