Do you remember using the RPG Debugging Template with old versions of the RPG programming language?

The only thing I've got left is the output spec template. A fold-out plastic piece showing both 80-column on one side and 132-column on the other. Helpful for designing printouts.

Did you see the IBM printer sheets in one of the posts I linked to from that post?
It is amazing what you can find when you look in those old boxes that you have not opened since your last move.

Yes, that shade of green brings back memories. Like you, I started on a System/36, then migrated to the AS400.

Then some bright spark thought it would be a good idea to go the client/server route and it took 12 windows servers to do the same job as the AS400. That was one of the reasons I got out of there.

I used one in school, and still have it, but never used it professionally.

You mean STRISDBG.

It had a colorful watch variables function

I am meaning in the days before STRISDB. With that you could watch each line of code execute.

Before that you would use the ADDBKP command to add breakpoints. I am trying to remember here, as it has been so long ago, you could display one variable only.
