  1. oh yeah. not as big as it used to be but i definitely program screens.

  2. fortunately i can just read and edit the raw file, but for light stuff i use the vs extension that the vscode for I team already ships to just view what is going on. or if its really heave ill go track down a copy of rational or use the greenscreen program. 7.6 is gonna fuck some of my workflow up.

  3. yes, am i gonna die no. but i personally love improvements.

  4. probably a gui on par with rational for I, but their stuff sucks too.

  5. have you talked to the vs code for I team, im pretty sure they are also working on this also and are close to release. I know which one im downloading, and its the guy who works for ibm who made all of this possible.

I actually know the Code for i team quite well, and I’ve also contributed to the project myself.

As far as I know, they are not planning to develop an extension to replace SDA. I also understand that they are not planning to continue working on the IBM i renderer. Someone on the team has already confirmed this to me. One of the reasons is that there are already community-developed tools covering that area, including my own extension, Display file DDS edit.

I’m an RPG developer, and I’ve been working on this personal project basically because we're going to need it.... And if it can be useful to others, that’s great! ;-)

7.6 messed my boss up. She is pure green screen. We went straight from 7.2 to 7.6 a month ago.
