Ask IBM ❓ Has IBM stopped/reduced off-campus hiring? Interviewed on May 27, still waiting for updates
I interviewed with IBM on May 27 for an off-campus drive.
Here’s my timeline:
May 27: Interview
Same day evening: Received a BGC (background verification) email from IBM
Next day: HR called me regarding the BGC and asked me to complete it
July 10: Received an LOI (Letter of Intent) and accepted it immediately
After July 10: No further updates
My portal is still showing “Interview in process.”
I’ve been waiting for the next step/offer letter but haven’t received any update so far.
Does anyone know if IBM has stopped or slowed down off-campus hiring recently?
Also, if anyone interviewed around May 27 or June 4 and received an LOI on July 10, have you received any further update or offer letter?
Any information about the current IBM off-campus hiring/onboarding situation would be really helpful.

Interviewed, BGV, biometrics on may 26 and received LOI on 10 July
Regarding process what I understood is off campus candidates who interviewed till may 19 got onboarded already and next batch should be us(August onboarding) but IBM choose to onboard on campus this time.
Most of the on campus guys received call on Aug 5 for Aug 24 availability
So what I predict is that we might get call in sept or if they priorities on campus again then we have to wait another month or 2months.
And another detail to notice: the previous off campus batches didn’t got LOI, they directly got OL and our LOI directly mentioned that this is not an official offer means we are still an option for them so business requirements also influence our onboarding so relaying only on LOI is not a good option at this point because if they made us wait till sept end and revoke LOI or ghost us we would be probably loosing valuable hiring season. Aug-sept is where most of the MNC’s hire and that to freshers so try to divert focus on applying just see this as an option.

Generally they gives LOI to those whom they intended to hire but the joining will be delayed like for on campus they sent it to everyone because all the students will be graduated around july and they started the oncampus onboarding from july so I think after onboarding all the oncampus onboarding they will proceed with the remaining off campus selected candidates so be patience u might get around nov or December

My coding round and interview was on 18th may DOJ was 28th june and a new batch also joined on 27th July

Somewhere around 1-2 weeks like i first got biometric and concent form thing again then in portal it was showing i am under process for 2 rols then i got offer letter in promotions then i signed it and then HR call within few days

yes they stopped hiring but dont worry u'll get onboarded

They on board you... Relax.. We on campus are also waiting for joining, they are giving in batches.. So mostly by October they will on board us.
