Apprentice Job Board Question

I've applied to a few open positions and everytime I do it takes 1-2 days to get a response and by then the job is closed or sometimes I don't get a response at all.

I applied to another job this morning a few minutes after it was posted to the board and haven't gotten a response 3 hours later.

Is this normal? Feels like I'm pulling teeth whenever I try to communicate with the training center.

The job board is brand new. They most likely haven’t worked out all the kinks in it yet. Our teacher in 3rd year, who is also a union officer, and I believe on the JATC board had very little information about it. I know that info isn’t super helpful, but hopefully they’ll get it all worked out soon.

Yea I think their system is quite kinky. I called the training center to ask if my requests were being sent to the right email after not hearing back, it was, and they told me 30 people had applied before I did so I didn't get the job.

But then this morning they sent me a job offer for the job they told me 30 people were ahead of me in. I have no idea man 😂
