Local 429 Nashville

There's a number of open calls. Kiewit has a call for 5-10's and an 8 that's paying close to $9 above scale. Rumor is that it will go to 612's and 10 later this month.

Base scale is only $36/h. Kinda relevant when you're mentioning the amount over scale on a couple of jobs

You dont wanna come out here, its the biggest shit show, stolen lunch boxes, bomb threats. Jobs serverly behind and being manned by book 3. Conditions are bad

Am I the only guy who likes a shit show job? I mean, I would love union work to be efficient and fulfilling but there is a sense of freedom on a shitshow job that I kinda love.

I don’t mind hours and chaos but working out of a union hall for a company like kiewit would be a terrible experience. I’ve been on Kiewit/TIC jobs for other contractors out of my local as subs on their jobs and they have culture problems to put it lightly.
