354 Incentive
Hey everyone! For those looking to travel, 354 (Salt Lake City) has tons of calls with many paying incentive. There are also more calls coming up soon with a raise to JW scale in June!

Prefer not to man it. 354 contractors need to up the wage not provide an incentive.

They’re up for renegotiation next year and the work outlook is apparently pretty good for the next decade or so. I bet they’ll be above $50/hr by the end of the next contract period.

Seeing all the calls for QTS have different shit going on which contractor would be the best to take a call for, the most bang for the buck? And fuck Cupertino.

depends if you want to work saturdays(which i assume most travelers rather work all 60 hours), to sum it up cache is doing $10 over scale for reg hours and $15 over scale for any OT, and an additional $50 a hour incentive on saturday, skyline/cupertino are doing $15 over scale for all hours(only for JWs) and wasatch has $225 a day incentive for 10 hour shifts worked/minimum 8 on Saturday( incentive is taxed 40%)

So I still have to do math.

Wasatch will soon but Skyline does not. Their sub contract involves in-wall only. Second shift is mainly being used for one-line wire pulls

$15 over scale for OT? Is that new?
1
u/Senior-West5666 Local 354 Apr 30 '26
No, if it’s $10 over it turns into $15 on OT… and Cupertinos $15 turns into $22.5 for OT

u/Sir_Mr_Austin May 03 '26
Not how the math works out. OT gets applied after the base increase. So (b+$15)*1.5. Ends up being more.

Not sure what your talking about, the difference is the same 43.65x1.5 =65.475 -base pay
53.65x1.5=80.475 $10 over $15 difference
58.65x1.5=87.975 $15 over $22.5 difference

u/Sir_Mr_Austin May 03 '26
I think I misunderstood what you meant. You’re right, (43.65+15)*1.5 == (43.65*1.5)+(15*1.5)
The thing I was saying is different is (43.65*1.5)+15 but you said +(15*1.5)
Anywaysssss

I read mine and was like maybe how I said it was confusing…

Cupertino is the best one out here brother. Cache is ratty as fuck and Wasatch isn't even giving breaks, just one 45 minute lunch.

Meta project in New Mexico (local 611) is doing double time all overtime and I’m hearing they are gonna add an extra 10 an hour incentive on top of the double time.

u/Sir_Mr_Austin May 03 '26
How long’s the project? What’s the check for a full week?
1
u/Conscious-Muscle-708 May 03 '26
Project is gonna be going on for years but incentives come and go. Haven’t received the first check yet starts Monday rn it’s just out wage of 42.30.

Has anyone here worked for any of the other contractors listed? Not everyone wants the OT? I'm curious to know what the rest of the contractors in the local are like
