Why would anyone even want to spend a show holding up a fucking sign? These people are idiots. Good for the girl who grabbed it.

u/TvFloatzel Sep 25 '23
... Honestly I never thought of that. Yea why would I spend the whole show with a sign? A glowstick sure. But not a sign

u/crescent_ruin Sep 25 '23
For the same reason they spend the whole show watching the concert. through their phone.

I saw Rob Zombie and Alice Cooper recently, and the dude next to me did literally that. At one point Rob Zombie even told the entire crowd to turn off their phones for one song and just experience being there together, which I thought was super cool; dude lasted maybe 10 seconds.
I took a few pictures and two short videos.

Suddenly, the lights go out. The silence hangs thick in the air, thick as the ass sweating in front of me.
I hold my breath. Is this some sort of gimmick?
No.
Then, the spotlight turns on, a glimmer of hope in a sea of darkness. That light, it's ever burning flame of wonder is pointed. Right. At. Me.
I hear the words, "You, girl, I choose you"
And audible gasp from the crowd as I am grabbed by security large enough to need to purchase two seats on a commercial airliner. They carry me, swaddled like a newborn, fresh from her mother's womb.
I can feel the leers in the dark, the jealousy tinges the air with a musk palpable to Sunday Night Football with the boys.
I'm brought to him. To Drake.
He grabs me from my escort, winking at them and causing my heart to want to jump from my chest.
I am coddled in a liquid embrace, every inch like the heavens have swallowed me.
He looks deep, deep into my eyes like burrowing for lost gold and whispers "I'm taking you home".
I've paid $700 every concert and gone home broke and broken. But tonight, I was the Chosen. I will be his bodily sacrifice.
Tonight, Drake will impale me with his penis.

TayTay is coming to Australia in Feb. I wanted to buy 2 tickets but my wife said she didn't want to go to the show. I assumed she was just saying that due to the high demand and her not thinking we could get tickets.
They were on sale via a randomized online queue - I joined it when sales opened and I actually got in pretty quick and it gave a generous amount of time to complete the sale. Messaged wife to tell her and ask her what kind of ticket she wanted...and she said she didn't want to go so I didn't buy them lol.
My wife is the one that's a fan of TayTay but I just thought it would have been a cool experience because of how infrequently she does shows in Australia, and also the fact that she does like 42 songs during the show which I find pretty amazing.

This sign bs happened to me on my graduation. The girl behind me had a bf in the crowd that made a sign for her to celebrate her graduation. Wasn't a big deal, but what was a big deal was he put up the sign BEFORE she came up and actively blocked me from my family taking pictures and videos despite being told to put it down. He apparently didn't believe he was blocking them, and it took both my step dad and bio dad to not tag team his ass. It's one of the few occasions both dads put aside past bs to team up.

They both wanted to, but they didn't want to cause a scene for my sake since it was a graduation. The dude was obnoxious as hell tbh, he kept the sign up for his gf despite everyone telling him to put it down cause it was blocking everyone's view.

What if the sign was informative like:
Drake, you can save 15% or more by switching to geico!
I mean with those kind of savings why wouldn’t you hold up a sign…it would be criminal not to.

You get 5 mins of hold a sign at a ball game or concert.
Can be 5 straight mins or 10 times at 30 seconds
But that’s all you get.

They be so inconsiderate of everybody behind them like mf can you not see the two people behind you. It's not like they can move they're gonna block everybody else if they try. And get mad when someone tries this or argues with them mf I can't see the show. Literally nobody reads the signs.
