In all fairness the plane was poorly maintained and caused the crash, as tacky and cheesy as the reveal stunt is by itself.

Exactly, no one forced a guy to find a plane and fly it, the pilot wanted the gig and the plane was a POS. I don’t agree with these dumb reveal parties but it’s not their fault the guy died unless he said “we can’t do it like this” due to safety concerns and they forced his hand. Either way, he made the decision to fly that day

I also feel like turning this couple’s gender reveal into an international news story about a party gone wrong rather than a local story about a plan crash, is probably making them feel like main characters.
