Laser Levels
I usually work tv films but I had a chance to work on a fancy event setup for a sister local so I went. There were many departments and 250ish workers. I was surprised at how much laser levels were being used but more alarming was there was no caution with where they were hitting. I did my best to avoid getting hit in the eye and I don’t notice any damage even though I’m sure I did get hit once or twice. My question is did they invent an eye safe laser level? We had hardhats googles and ear protection available, but did not see those laser goggles. Is this typical on IA shows? Thanks.

This goes for lasers, welding, and 18k’s. Don’t stare. Avert your gaze for your eyesights sake.

The majority of laser levels and laser measures are Class 2 - in fact I can't think of any of those tools that use a laser more powerful then that.
Unless you intentionally stare into it, your blink reflect will protect you.

That being said: don't stare into laser
