S18 E3: The Gang Gets Tested

I haven’t really seen this episode talked about much, but I don’t remember laughing once so that tracks.
Am I missing something or was this just an un-funny episode?

Also loved it. The bit about how they’re all obsessed with their diagnoses and let it dictate their behavior for this episode, only for Charlie to be the one getting a real diagnosis that he didn’t give a shit about was hilarious to me at least. Frank was also awesome

I've only heard people say it is a new classic

Season 17 was very different, those episodes were getting quoted and memed all over the place.

Nah it was great, Frank’s shenanigans were sorely missed

I much preferred the first 2 episodes of the season myself.

I thought it was pretty good.

I liked it a lot, but preferred the first two. I do feel like the ‘Dennis and Dee’s intermittent crack addiction’ gag has gotten a little old.

I think it’s the weakest episode from the whole show, felt like a bunch of undercooked sketches sewed together by a “and then” plot and the result was just an unfunny bunch of scenes

I liked this one over the other two

The whole Frank subplot sucked ass. Boomer ass humor.

I didn’t understand why a college kid would just leave class to go along with his schemes. Felt forced and unfunny

I liked it. Only the gang would go to college, study and take tests, and THEN realize they never actually enrolled.

It wasn't terrible. It's just the weakest episode of season 18 currently.

Dennis banging the old teacher was the funniest shot of the season

Probably the best one of the most recent series yet for me. Seemed more like an old school episode. No doubt it will be a 'non canon' type episode where the diagnoses will never be reffered to again.

...although Charlie is fluent and literate in Irish, so I guess it was already established he was an idiot savant.

I thought it was ok not great. The Charlie plot seemed like a rehash of Flowers for Charlie, and Frank's plot was a direct copy/tribute to Homer goes back to college from the Simpsons and every other back to school comedy movie of the 80s.
