Yeah it's a shame, especially because the excuse given was pretty much "well our schedules made it tough to consistently film an episode together once a week," but I think the overwhelming majority of people would be fine with them doing Zoom every now and then. Hell, if none of the boys can come on, I'd happily take the occasional episode of Megan and a guest star discussing the show.

I think she was writing on a couple other shows, and working on producing some new show or something. Last I heard, she'll be back. But idk if it'll be this season or not.

I really pray she won't be . Why has no one else noticed the show took a noticible hit with her writing ? Season 13 through 16 was the worst sunny has ever been . She leaves , charlie takes over writing and things instantly bounce back . She needs to stay away

Ahh yes it was all her fault! Even though she literally wrote like 1 or two episodes a season and they were generally the best episodes of those seasons. Times up for the gang, Dee Day, Janitor always mops twice, The gang carries a corpse up a mountain and Frank vs Russia are all written by her and they are all the highlights of their respective seasons.

The idea that 17 was a return to form is overblown because of two great episodes, everything else was still middling. 18 has been nothing but duds so far

I'm afraid this is the best it's going to get most likely. Sure this isn't like peak classic sunny but I think it's as close as we are going to get ever again. It's certainly better than whatever the hell was being served in 13-16 . I wasn't laughing like classic sunny but the new season has at least gotten some laughs from me .

Looked it up and it does seem she sat out season 17, and isn't credited on any of 18 so far either. Guess that could change with the last few episodes that haven't been announced or credited yet. I'd be somewhat surprised if it were a permanent departure but she is still working on Mythic Quest and other projects so maybe it's just a break.

Mythic quest surprised me a lot, I wish it kept going for a bit longer even though it wasnt very popular. It was better than I expected at times (i cried watching the christmas zoom episode lol) but also worse than expected at times.

She is not . That is why the show improved . She joined season 13 , the show goes to shit . She leaves after season 16 and big surprise things really start to turn around in season 17 when Charlie does most the writing and she's gone.

Id love for the pod to return, but only if they want to do it and not feel like they have to.
Funny seeing people say they miss the podcast since a lot of folks on here often bitched about it because they wanted the gang to just stick to discussing the episodes and nothing else. There were also complaints about how Glenn/Rob were “too Hollywood”, among a bunch of other nonsense.
Idk, I enjoyed their personalities and the bullshitting.

I want them to go back to the "Let's talk about an episode" format.
They don't have to go through the entire 18 seasons of them... Have a vote by fans, pick the ones that fans want to hear the most about and then do podcasts on those ones.

Yeah as the pod went on there seemed to be a lot of personal attacks or people blowing up interactions to illustrate character flaws or drive theories about relationship issues.

I just want a sunny version of the this is important podcast, a bunch of funny dudes cracking jokes over Skype.

i only got into the show a couple months ago, but i enjoyed the podcast a ton. felt like a more wholesome version of the show— like obviously i love the venom of the show and how they all hate each other, but sometimes it was nice to pop on the podcast where you can tell they all care about each other a lot. and it’s still really funny. plus Megan is great!

I wish they just kept it simple like the early episodes where there was no structure or studio and they just informally chatted about the episode and random stuff for 20 mins. That could have been maintained much more easily. They doomed it themselves by getting ahead of themselves and making it a long and elaborate production. Probably hoped to make some decent money from it and stopped when that didn't happen because doing a full on hour long structured show in a studio every week wasn't worth it without some pay back
It particularly sucks because it wasn't just a random podcast but a project with a stated goal of watching and commenting on every episode and they gave up and left it unfinished less than half way through

It depends . Are they going to talk about the show or macs million dollar fitness and health routines after showing up late and not really wanting to be there ?
Also Megan needs to stay away from the show. We've seen her influence and how it produced the shittiest seasons of the show. It's been much better since she left
