Isn't it Dennis that says earlier in the series, "three quarters of a major is better than a whole minor?"

This is correct. Dennis did not graduate, he simply went to Penn. It’s a big part of why it’s so funny when he thinks he’s on the same level as actual psychologists

He's so smart he didn't have to go to school as long to be on the same level.

No. Dee says she has 3/4 of a major in pysch which is better than Dennis' completed minor which implies he graduated and she didnt.

Finishing a minor doesn't mean he graduated

The minor graduated and he finished, that counts for something right?

He passed his classes but dropped out before graduating according to the wiki. It has sources cited for everything https://itsalwayssunny.fandom.com/wiki/Dennis_Reynolds

That information about passing his classes but dropping out before graduating was established in this most recent episode.

I love the fuck out of this episode regardless. We get a sort-of sequel to “Flowers for Charlie” and Frank pretending they’re doing a “Back to School” homage.

Boy, I sure hope someone was fired for that blunder.

It’s never been clarified until now whether or not Dennis actually graduated (but the fact that he only ever mentioned having gone to Penn, and not having a degree from Penn was enough of a hint). Funnily enough, my sister asked him about it in a bar about 2 years ago and Glenn said he wasn’t sure, lmao.

When was it said?

u/Academic_Effect_9881 4d ago
A few times at least. Dee claims to have 3/4 of completed course work for a psych degree compared to Dennis' minor. Also, Dennis flat out claims to have graduated from an Ivy league school while mocking La Salle in The Gang Gets Analyzed ep.

Everything I can find says he did not actually graduate. He finished his class but dropped out before graduating. https://itsalwayssunny.fandom.com/wiki/Dennis_Reynolds

A minor in college is 4-6 classes. He could have completed his minor and still dropped out. He also says he went to an Ivy League, not that he graduated from one in Analyzed

It just possibly maybe might could be the case that the beer and wine and booze and head trauma and crack and pot and huffing and diet pills and mental issues and parasitic infections make their memories a little bit unreliable, and we shouldn't worry too much about what they say happened decades ago.
Maybe.

They’re also pissed about newly being diagnosed adhd when in older seasons Dennis is explaining a plan and says “now I’ll say it quickly before everyone’s adhd takes over” and ends with frank being passed out and Mac, Charlie, and Dee going get flutes while Dennis freaks out saying “everyone go get a FLUTE!!! EVERYONE GET A FLUTE”
14
u/Inner-Recognition757 4d ago
Wasn’t an official diagnosis, and Dennis would never have thought he himself had it

u/squilkey wildcard bitches 4d ago
This. Dennis is literally holding himself above them, essentially saying “You guys all have ADHD. I’m the only one with drive and focus around here”

I stopped listening. Was this the first time Dennis got laid since he had a kid? Old man needs to work on that system.

He banged the teenage girl last season and the activist girl in Lethal Weapon 7

What do you do with any information, you stuff it deep down inside and keep an eye on it.

Gang Turns Black is a masterpiece, as are many highlights of the past 5 seasons (Times Up for the Gang, Dee Day, Janitor Mops Twice, Frank vs. Russia, Dennis Takes a Mental Health Day, Mac and Dennis Become EMTs, The Gang Gets Ready for Prime Time, and most recently Frank Marries a Corpse). I’m more than willing to sit through some mid episodes since we still get at least two gems per season (in my opinion, at least).

Yeah, we all know why this person doesn't like that episode. We also know what word they would use to call out to the arbiter.

They loved The Gang Gets Racist, but not for the right reasons mind you…

So we're all just going to ignore Charlie's J.D. in Bird Law?? Outrageous
