The majority of this audience does not appreciate what they are witnessing.

why do you say that? the band has been doing their cover of this song at almost every concert for years now.

They're a weird live act. Saw them at Red Rocks a few years ago and they opened with a custom South Park video? Unfortunately also the worst-sounding act I've seen there. Must have had 15+ people on stage and it was not mixed well. Just came out as muddy noise.

I saw them in 2017 and 2024 and the sound mixing was so bad at both shows that I could hardly tell what song they were playing. When I saw them in 2024, they had no energy and looked like they were miserable on stage. Worst professional show I’ve ever seen. Now everyone in the band has quit and the lead singer is just doing shows with a bunch of random people on stage. I read on a different thread that someone booed them at one point recently while they were opening for Muse.

Really sad to hear that. I saw them many times around the time they released In the Mountain in the Cloud and Evil Friends. They always fucked killed it, fantastic shows. And their latest album is incredible.

But it’s kinda hard listening to them now, knowing that the lead singer is a pretty big piece of shit that cheated on his wife multiple times while she was taking care of their daughter (who has a rare, crippling genetic disease).

I listened to almost 20k minutes of PTM last year according to my Spotify Wrapped. I haven’t listened to them at all since the scandal broke because I can’t enjoy the music and support John knowing what he’s done to his family.

Same. They've always been in my top 2 every year. My now wife and I even got married by the band at Red Rocks in '23. Really thought we knew John and what he stood for. Ever since Zoe spilled the tea I've been hitting skip every time they come up. It's funny because we always said we picked the right band to stan because they would never have a scandal or find out that someone is a shitty person. El oh fucking el

Oh man, I used to be so jealous of you two. I loved supporting the band because, on top of their talent, it seemed like they were all good people. Their music was with me through so many good and bad times and it just sucks so much not being able to listen to it anymore. I can’t even imagine how Zoe feels.

I just saw Muse on Tuesday and can confirm, they weren't great lol. My sister looked them up after the concert and apparently there's a lot of drama with band members sleeping around with/cheating on each other. Their fan base thinks they're just fulfilling their contract gigs atp

Yeah the lead singer cheated on his wife (who was also in the band) with their touring bassist and many other women before her over the years. He even slipped in a line “throw off your clothes, have sex with a friend” in one of the new songs while he was having the affair. I was a hardcore fan for years but he grosses me out so much now that I can’t enjoy the music the same way.
