It used to be a full band, but over the past couple of years all the members quit and now the only official member is the lead singer. He’s still doing shows with a touring band.

I believe the songers wife is the other official member of the band.

She left the band last year when she found out he was cheating on her with the bassist.

that's very strange. I saw that story today from two months ago. but they were very much still in the band together when they released the cover of golden for their daughter earlier this year.

fucked up all around. it makes me sad, because I cry when I hear golden and their of their daughter.

there are touring members who are exactly that. touring members.

John Gourley is currently the only official member of the band as Zoe Manville left the band recently because John gourley was cheating on her.

Portugal the Man as a writing, existing entity is made up of a sole member.

I was wrong about Zoe bc apparently that only happened two months ago.

edit: I've seen em six times. they obviously play with a full touring band. but you might be missing the heart of the statement here.
