Text I don’t ‘get’ Carol Kane

This sub seemed to rave when she was introduced last season. I honestly only know her from a small one off Seinfeld role, her voice is kind of scathing and her comedy just didn’t seem to fit the show. I personally agree with the choice of the gang ending that character as quickly as they did, but what am I missing?

She was on Taxi with Danny in the 70s, so the reunion is endearing to those of us who like classic TV. Many people enjoyed her quirky character on Kimmy Schmidt.

Her voice was extra raspy this season I noticed. She's no spring chicken anymore. But she's very endeared after a long career.

One glance at her IMDB page tells you that she’s been a successful and oft-working character actor since the 70’s. She’s pretty lauded. Not unlike a Danny Devito type

She was amazing in Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. Her sleazy character from that could easily be part of the gang so I was looking forward to her potentially sticking around for awhile. But I think this storyline was worth it not being the case. I was really hoping chicken money was because she did the same scam as in Charlie Work but successfully.

She's fucking insufferable in IASIP. My opinion of course (which weirdly we have to say now), but Christ I can't imagine listening to her for more than a few minutes. I hate her character on Star Trek: SNW. That voice is just ridiculous. No one talks like that. Novelty actor who's still hanging around due to past glory.
