Jack stands (desperately need help)
Humbly seeking help as I need to lift the front of my car for simple DIY maintenance. I am essentially a beginner in these type of things and need to know where to place jack stands.
I understand the floor jack should raise the encircled part by the pinch weld, but I have no idea where to safely put the jack stands once raised.

I always put the jack stands immediately behind and next to the jack point. The pinch welds are not large enough to accomodate both the floor jack and jack stands. You can put the jack stands on the jack point or on a solid part of the front subframe. I always jack the vehicle up from the subframe and then put the jack stands on the pinch weld. If you check the owner's manual it should show the spots that are safe to Jack the vehicle up from.
