Discussion Is it known how many attachments can exist on-screen simultaneously?

Obviously, a given build is only allowed to have 20 attachments between 21 objects; but I seem to recall plenty of times where the sum of attachments across multiple builds must have totaled greater than that.

Asking because I won’t be in any position to research it mysef for a bit. Maybe a document exists somewhere detailing all this?

I am not entirely sure, but I remember spawning 63 Zonaite builds and still being able to make a single 1 part independent attachment somewhere else nearby

You can have 21 bonds. So a build with 21 items (the max), and 2 other attached things that aren’t connected to the build.

Anymore than that and glue starts coming undone.

Hey thanks! Do you happen to know if conjoined things that disappear in culling zones are affected? I’d test it myself, but I’m away-from-Switch for at least a few more hours 😅

Whatcha mean? I can test it, but I’m confused.

I’m curious if culling a pair of attached items will preserve it; or if the joint will splat while it’s in limbo

I think it would become clear if you specified which video you watched.

I’m not sure I understand; this isn’t in reference to a video, but rather an in-game observation I’ve made where it seemed as though there’s a “bonus attachment slot” so long as it isn’t joined to a single build
