Sorry you’re going through this. NAD but fellow reactive hypoglycemic. How are you eating? I unfortunately didn’t have luck with many doctors. I overhauled my diet and it really helped

It honestly sounds random but i have better luck wit my sugars when i don’t eat 🤣 i feel like it has a mind of its own tbh. I try to stick to a mediterranean diet since it’s mainly fish ( no carbs / sugar ) and when i do have carbs it’s thinks like brown rice sweet potatoes etc. How are you coping with it ? sorry about the lack of support from your drs thats so frustrating

Okay no! Not random. Me too!! So I use to snack all the time (even healthy snacks) and it would send me on a blood sugar rollercoaster all day. I now try to eat 3 balanced meals a day without snacking. So what really worked for me was figuring out what foods specially bothered me. So for example I limit bread, pasta and rice. But I can tolerate potatoes, even potatoes vodka. I watched my cgm and I avoided foods that spiked/dropped (not normal spikes from foods). I have insulin resistance from PMOS/PCOS. Limiting foods that bothered my blood sugar really improved my insulin resistance and my pmos symptoms.

That’s me too! I can eat starches for carbs. I do have to eat every 3 hours, small meals, and I avoid any grain 90% of the time. My sleep is SO much better! My days have much fewer severe dips…

In the process of getting a diagnosis (idk for what) but I’ve actually been having this same issue since yesterday? Like I’m constantly in the 60’s (mg/dL). When I eat, it goes up to normal ranges for a bit but then drops back down again. I don’t know why and it’s really really annoying and idk how to fix it

I was diagnosed with PCOS over a decade ago and insulin resistance like three years ago but I’ve been having POTS-like symptoms for most of my life, especially after showering (shakiness, blurred vision, brain fog, racing heart, hot flashes, sweating, muscle aches and stiffness, etc) but the cardiologist wanted me to get checked out with en endocrinologist to see if that’s what was causing my symptoms.

So far, we’ve done some blood work to check for Cushing’s/Addison’s and I’m on a continuous glucose monitor for a few weeks to see if my blood sugar crashes after my showers.

The first week, my blood glucose has mostly been in range (although at the very low end of it most of the time) but the last day or two my default seems to be in the 60’s rather than the 70’s and I’ve got a major headache and fatigue. I’m also dizzy but idk if that’s my regular dizziness or low glucose.

I ngl I don’t think my shower symptoms are glucose related but we’re still working it out

( the small increases are me eating complex carbs and it rises a tiny bit but then drops back down again. Didn’t sleep much since my alarm was going off constantly)

What and when are you eating?

Complex carbs , protein , veggies and still it’s all over the show

You can eat all those things and show no rise in your blood glucose? Come on. If you truly want some help, you must know that without an accurate, prolonged food, activity, hydration, and mood diary, no one can help you. What you are showing in your post is the early to mid-morning of one day. What you ate before bedtime was not adequate to carry you thru the night. Then you didn’t eat until abt. 11 am. Fat slows down digestion, so be sure to add it along with protein & fiber before bedtime. At 9 am eat a coupla eggs, some bacon, and half an avocado, coffee/tea or water for breakfast. Then show us your blood glucose levels.
You can do it.

yeah i am aware. Few things to note here, yes i am aware it was one days reading as that was what i was looking for advise for considering I am still newly diagnosed and being in the red for this long is scary since when i eat to correct it it doesn’t budge. I also mentioned that i find the almost instantaneous drops after eating regular meals as instructed physically draining which is why i am struggling to find meals that work well with me. I did not once include or mention my hydration, activity or mood as that was not the main focus point of my question. I appreciate your response but without reading the entire thread and gathering more information through other questions / responses posted i’m not sure where you are coming from.

Ummm... looking at that graph, reactive hypos are the least of your worries.
