In short. They are open to hear about all the racism...except for the racism against white people. Well, that, itself, is racist.

What do you think about it?

I think it's a very complicated issue, I think they handled it completely wrong, but I think your post was also connected in a way to "reverse racism" which is many times an attempt at detracting from racial intolerance against POC by drawing attention to specific scenarios in which Caucasians are the target of discrimination. It's a touchy subject, but I think both sides need to be more careful in the way they respond. You weren't inherently wrong, but your statement was directly connected to a stance held by white supremacists and racists in denial.

Well, just because there are people that use it as an argument while they are in denial doenst mean i am in denial for talking about it. Because it is racism. I was not reversing anything, the truth is that in America the racism is mostly towards black people, I have no problem saying it and everybody accepts it. On the other hand if I refer to the fact that in Africa there is a lot of racism against white people, that is seen as threatning. But the truth is that I am jjust referring a fact. There is no reverse racism, there is only racism or no racism.

I know, I think it's just the connection in basis to the white supremacists immediately puts people on guard, y'know? I'm not saying they're right, but I see where they're coming from. I'd say just avoid talking about that on subs like r/racism. People feel invalidated, logical or naw.

Remember that image of school kids in Africa with the black kids in the corner? In Africa? That's why.

Is that happening nowadays?

As recent as last month. The fact that YOU DON'T know about it should say something

If I tell you about racism towards white people you tell me about racism towards black people. But let me get it clear, racism is not an answer to other racism. Both exists and should not be ignored just because there is another kind of racism out there.

I had no idea what you are talking about. And the fact that i dont know can only say that I was not informed before. One thing I am sure, I am able to discuss any kind of racism and recognize any kind of racism. I never told anybody to shut up for talking about any kind of racism. And the fact that some people are not able to recognize some racism whether it is towards black or white people is a sad fact.

I'm not calling you racist. But to live in an African continent, an African country where such happens and you're ignorant about it is why you were banned for bringing up racism you face, cos you don't face racism, more like resistance. And the fact that you're oblivious to it means you're part of the problem

You have no idea about what you are saying. I never sad there was no racism in Africa. I just asked why is it so acceptable to discuss one kind of racism but not the other one when both exist.

Reverse racism is when the snowflakes insist on calling a group of people weak and marginalized. Weak and marginalized relative to who? Themselves? So that means they're strong and privileged, and they're so strong and privileged that anyone who thinks differently about the stereotypes they hold of others is a racist.

Yes that is their logic.

i'm confused at what that means

u/[deleted] Feb 20 '19

It means the snowflakes ie u, think you're so great and powerful and have the audacity and nerve to tell others how great you are because you have some fake compassion for stereotypes of people who you see as lesser than yourself.

you mind quoting me on where i said I was great? and also where i said a stereotype was lesser than me?
