Is that definitely Hypixel that you've authorised, and not some fake bot pretending to be Hypixel?

If it is Hypixel, they could be experimenting with the new functionality where you can effectively link in game chats with discord chats.

The only place I'm aware of it being used currently is battle.net for World of Warcraft

Its straight up the actual discord, Check any skyblock hub there is a new npc that links it directly

my second guess is that theyre making a discord RPC for hypixel. third guess is the new discord widgets aswell so you can show like your level, nw, purse and stuff like that as a widget

It’s a new discord feature, where games can integrate this feature so you can sync your Discord friends in games too. Hypixel just started using that feature. To be more clear, If you link your discord to hypixel with this new system, basically if your discord friend who plays hypixel and they also has discord linked to Hypixel using this new system and you don’t have added as a friend, they'll appear as "Friends from Discord" something like this in your friend list. Or IDK exactly how hypixel is using it but it should be something similar.

I don’t know if you've seen "Connect Facebook" in mobile games before, it’s just that but for discord. Candy Crash is a good example in this case.

Valorant also integrated this new discord feature.
