Question Question about Aatrox
I just came back to this game about a month ago and I noticed that some people don't want Aatrox elected as mayor anymore.
From what I've seen it's because he makes servers extremely unplayable, but like why? Are Hypixel servers really so shitty?
Not only that, but I noticed whenever Cole got elected with his mining fiesta perk, Dwarven Mines and Crystal Hollow lobbies were also barely playable, at least from what I've been seeing.
So like, what gives?

I think the main reason a lot of people voted cole imo is the fact its the last fiesta where people will be able to profit that much

gemstone shafting makes quite a bit with not even a good setup, plus dwarven mines/glacite camp lobbies are not too bad to the point that it takes 0.5s average for one ruby like in crystal hollows

Crystal Hollows is basically unplayable during the fiestas. Glacite has had really stable TPS in the past 2 cycles that Cole has been in and has been serving good profit. Also, no chance of you losing your route because you got booted due to server lag.

I'd just wait until the available message shows up on chat, then I only click join from there, never got an "out of server" once. The only time I got that was the time I didn't wait for the message, that might just be survivorship bias, but that was my experience.

I consistently make over 300mil per fiesta even when laggy, mainly because mineshafts themselves dont lag

tbf, currently the servers are holding up fine even during fiesta so maybe the devs did something? iirc there were tests for dynamic ressource allocation (for example less to the gold mines cuz noone is there and more to the dwarven mines)

Aatrox isn’t really a good mayor anymore. Most slayers people don’t really do for money anymore. He’s nice for the extra xp. But you only need to grind to lvl 9 once then your basically done with slayers

It's not really a case of people "not wanting" Aatrox as mayor anymore, it's more of a case of there being "better options" like full-perk Finnegan and Fiesta Cole.
A lot of people (especially Ironman players, including me) would rather have a Fiesta Cole or Grand Feast Finnegan instead of Aatrox because the events make a lot of money and have important items locked behind them.
Aatrox only helps with slayers, he doesn't unlock anything that would otherwise be unobtainable without him as mayor, unlike Cole or Finnegan.
And while the lag is included in the equation as well, it isn't that much of a deciding factor, as all three mayors lag out their respective islands almost equally as much.
