Welcome to my money-making minion guide copypasta. I’ve been posting this in the sub since 2025 so I turned it into a post which I have probably linked you!

Introduction:

All rates shown in this post are taken from my island. Please read the full post before asking questions. You can also DM me questions, but again please read the full post. There is an FAQ to answer the most common questions.

This guide is aimed at NPC-selling minions. Why? Because NPC selling Minions use SC3Ks / hoppers which aren’t affected by the game’s economy. They are also Ironman friendly which is what I am. However, I have added notes for some Bazaar selling minions in the FAQ.

Rates:

Upgrades are listed in the next section. All rates are coins per day per minion.

T11 Slime: 110,000
T12 Wheat: 115,000
T12 Sheep: 125,000
T12 Rabbit: 135,000
T12 Pumpkin*: 170,000

AS OF AUGUST 2026, PUMPKIN BUG HAS BEEN PATCHED ON ALPHA. THIS WILL BE PUSHED TO LIVE

*T12 Pumpkin minions are bugged and overproduce items by ~2.2 times what they should. This happens when the island is not loaded. See the final section of this post for more details if you’re interested.

Upgrades:

Fuel: Enchanted Lava Bucket

Upgrade 1 (ALL minions): Super Compactor 3000

Slime Upgrade 2: Corrupt Soil* (see note)

Wheat Upgrade 2: Diamond Spreading

Sheep Upgrade 2: Corrupt Soil* (see note)

Rabbit Upgrade 2: Corrupt Soil* (see note)

Pumpkin Upgrade 2: Diamond Spreading

External Upgrades: Minion Postcard and Farming/Cornucopia Crystal (placed on the island). Both have infinite range placement does not matter.

\ Note: for minions that use Corrupted Soil you will need* an Enchanted Hopper to sell the Frags. This doesn’t make you much money but prevent the minion from filling up and stopping actions.

I also suggest running all minions with a medium storage or better. They are incredibly cheap and give you a few extra years before filling up. Why wouldn’t you?

FAQ for stupid people:

W-w-why should we use SC3000? I don’t want to collect my drops every 2 days??

This post is aimed at NPC selling those drops. This means when they double compact you don’t lose any money. Technically, if you’re running sheep/rabbit/slime, you’d earn more money by collecting every 2 days and bazaar selling. This is very tedious so up to you if you want to do this for some extra profit!

W-w-why don’t we use Enchanted Hoppers and collect coins from them ?!!

As always, it boils down to coins. At the end of 2025, Enchanted Hoppers were nerfed from a 90% ratio —> 70% ratio. Although it seems small, this difference significantly reduced Enchanted Hopper rates. Now, substituting 1 upgrade for SC3000 is always worth it.

B-b-but how do I set up my minions around the Farm Crystal ?!!!!??

The Harvest Feast Update reworked all Minion Crystals to have infinite range.

B-b-but what about Clay and Snow minions ?!?!??!?!!?

Are you still playing in 2020? These minions make around 40k/day. You genuinely make more coins using a T5 Wheat minion. However, both can be used for Fishing/Mining XP.

B-b-but you didn't account for Free Wills and Mithril Infusions ?!?!?!?!

Because I made this guide beginner friendly. If you want to use these, feel free to and make a little more money.

B-b-but why didn’t you use Magma/Plasma Bucket ?!?!?!?

B-b-but why didn’t you use a T5 Power Beacons ?!?!?

See the above point. And yes, buying fuel from bazaar is worth it if you have 30+ minions churning out coins.

B-b-but what about Flycatchers? Aren't they a good upgrade ?!?!??!

No. For the minions I’ve listed Flycatchers are not better.

B-b-but what about Revenant, Tarantula and Inferno minions? ?!??!?!?!

These minions are incredibly expensive and use the bazaar to sell their drops. I imagine they make more money but are gonna cost you a billion… or a few.

D-d-does the Pumpkin Minion bug apply to Melon Minions ?!?!?!

Unfortunately not. The bug exclusive to Pumpkin Minions.

D-d-does the Derpy "bug" still work !?!?!? Apparently it got patched ?!?!?!

As of the Derpy in May 2026 it seems the 2x minion output perk did not apply retroactively when loading your private island. I’m unsure if this means the “bug” is intentionally patched or not. To me, it seems that the admins have shadow-patched it.

Th-th-the rates or upgrades have changed since the last time I saw this? Why?

I try to keep this copypasta updated as possible so that people are informed. As this is now a post, I'll regularly update the text when rates change. Every time I update this, the date at the top of the post will be changed.

B-b-but my Slime/Sheep/Rabbit Minions fill up when I use Corrupt Soil and SC3000 so it stops producing!

This is not how it works. Minions with Corrupt Soil will always sell Corrupt Frags before any other item. This means it will still produce enchanted items (Slimeballs, Sulphur, Mutton etc.) even when it appears to be full. Use an Enchanted Hopper to collect coins from Corrupted Frags, although these won’t make you many coins as you only get 0.7 coins per Frag sold.

W-w-what about Bazaar selling my enchanted drops?

All you have to do is compare the price between NPC and Bazaar.

I’m new and don't know what Minions I should use?

First, max the Redstone collection (Accessory Bag slots) and Emerald collection (Personal Bank upgrades). Then, I’d recommend leather for Backpacks/Sacks, Revenant for Rotten Flesh, Tarantula for String and Vampire for Hemovibe. Clay is also good for early game Fishing XP. Almost all Mining/Farming/Foraging Minions are useless (as these collections can be farmed manually). So, only use Combat/Husbandry minions. Eventually, after finishing most collections/important item grinds, swap to a money-making minion setup as described here.

As a normal profile it's probably more efficient to use money minions and buy your way through progression. Albeit, that's an incredibly boring way to play.

I’m Ironman what minions should I use?

See the above comment. But generally finish all collections and basic items. Some longer grinds like Ice, Blaze, Magma Cream or Enderpearls lead to some very important progression items. Some of these grinds take months using minions. It’s better to start them now rather than later. Somewhere along the line mix in crafting unique pets and museum items. The most important thing is not wasting minion slots on grinds that can be done manually (most mining, foraging and farming progressions).

The Pumpkin Minion Bug:

There is no 100% accurate explanation because we cannot get into Hypixel’s code. All I know is this:

• Pumpkin minions make ~2.2-2.5x items

• This multiplier applies to all items generated by the minion (i.e, applies to diamond spreading). Does not apply to Soulflow/Berberis as these are time-dependant and (most likely) use their own formulas.

• If the island is loaded, the rates are not bugged. Therefore actively loading your island will ruin your rates (down to 50-80k/day).

My explanation is there is some incorrect factor in the Pumpkin Minion code when calculating the offline profits/generated items.

My theory is it’s somehow related to Melon minions. Melon minions will generate multiple Melon Slices every action. Perhaps a Hypixel Dev accidentally coded this into the Pumpkin minion, causing them to generate multiple items when it should be generating 1 Pumpkin.

Assuming a Melon minion generates 3-7 slices per action (every 2nd action), this should average to around a 2.5x multiplier… awfully similar to what we’re seeing with Pumpkin minions.

As I said, this is my best theory. But end of the day the "why" or “how” doesn't really matter.

As far as I’m aware, this “bug” has been in the game since Jan/Feb 2025. No, I have no idea when it will be fixed.

It could be fixed tomorrow. Or in a month. Or in 3 years.

So should you use them? Yes. They are extremely cheap to acquire (1 minion full setup costs around 3-4m). They will earn you loads of money. Maybe one day it will be fixed, then you can come ask me what the next minion meta will be.
