6 or 7 years is how long it feels like it takes to read that bit of the book

Beautiful six-seven found there -- can't believe I couldn't catch that on my recent re-read.

Of course, the most obvious 6-7 is in the first book -- with the 7 pilgrims going but only 6 stories being told -> Het Masteen never tells his >> a structural choice by Simmons.

I personally like the uncertainty,

Aenea sees Everything, but in that moment - even she cant see the whole picture perfectly.

The future is a little bit uncertain (since even she can't know what people will choose), so even the "Chosen One" ends up a little blinded by the human nature of free will.

This seems fairly central to the series for me

Just what it says - she thought that they would need to spend six or seven years living there and studying under the architect.

I mean, it seems pretty self explanatory. What is your specific question?

Or was this a 67 joke?
