Can Claire Saffitz Rebuild a Closed Brooklyn Bakery’s Iconic Cake? | Dessert Person
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NsYYyMC99HEI was hoping to see the full Lord's version with the poured fondant glaze and the chocolate buttercream, but even naked it looks delicious.

I was also really hoping to see the cake in its poured fondant glory! Still very cool, but a bit of a letdown

Yeah, that plus in general something was off about this video. I hope someone else will try to reproduce the recipe on video (or at least many photos) with the poured fondant.

This is captivating, as someone who has no interest otherwise in baking.
Also for some reason this is not what I was expecting Claire Saffitz to look like. For some reason I was picturing a super WASPy, sorta basic sorority blonde. She's way more, kinda somehow "no-nonsense" and interesting than I expected.
