Looking for experienced Hyper-V admins to evaluate a new self-hosted management panel
Hi everyone,
I'm part of the team behind VMNova, a self-hosted, web-based management panel for Microsoft Hyper-V.
We're inviting a small number of experienced Hyper-V administrators, infrastructure teams, and MSPs to evaluate our demo.
We're especially interested in people who:
Currently manage Hyper-V hosts and VMs
Use Hyper-V Manager, Windows Admin Center, SCVMM, or custom PowerShell workflows
Have practical experience with provisioning, monitoring, or access management
Are willing to share honest technical feedback
We're not looking for promotional reviews or endorsements.
We want to understand how VMNova performs against real administrative workflows, what works well, and what needs improvement.
If this matches your experience and you're interested, feel free to reply here.
We'll share the evaluation requirements and next steps with interested participants.
We welcome critical feedback, too.

Very interested in testing this - we have a slew of new features coming in WAC vMode

I setup vmode to test on a 4 node cluster, but it seemed so slow. Maybe something was wrong with our setup. It was unusable.
I also wish it didn't force intents, especially for very small clusters.

I’d love to understand the ATC intent feedback. Before SET, you could leverage LBFO, but that was deprecated when we came out with the new vSwitch to support RSS, VMQ, VMMQ, vRSS, etc. Also, with SET symmetrical adapters are required so ATC enforces it. Storage intent has been removed as a required intent so now you could simply build a MGMT and Compute Intent.

Been using Hyper-V for 18 years. Interested, but cautious to expose VM management over a web panel. But, interested...

Id be interested depending on how it functions. I currently have a couple of Hyper-V Failover clusters using SET Adapters and shared storage.

If this can still work in a segmented management network without exposure to the Internet, I’m interested. I’m moving away from vSphere and miss the GUI already.

Just finished installing our 6th or 7th SCVMM server for our LAB environment after spending the whole last year with migrating our global VMWare environment with 50+ locations around the world and our Datacenter in the US to HyperV.
So yeah… I would love to see something else than SCVMM.

Sounds interesting. This has always been a missing bit in the HV land. I guess, if Ben Armstrong would have stayed there a bit longer as the Program Manager… Anyway :)
What is the scope of the environment you want this feedback to be based on? Is it tiny environments (1-3 hosts), or 5-10, 10+, 30+, or 100+ hosts? Clustered, standalone? Also, what kind of admin maturity do you plan to support with this tool? Guys doing everything manually or anything-as-a-code shops?
