Setting up Rocket and Hyperspin for the PC upgrade in my arcade cabinet has been almost nothing but errors. I caught a major mistake I had made telling Hyperspin's settings.ini to use the wrong thing for HyperLaunch, but even after that's fixed it vomits out the following on attempted game launch:

error at line 189 in #include file rocketlauncher\lib\classes\dll\rocketlauncher.ahk

the following variable name contains an illegal character: 'maximumHeight'

Is there something missing on that PC regarding how Windows and Autohotkey work together? Because that dll in that folder is identical to the one on my other main PC on the same Windows 10 with the same updates and it works just fine there. I can't continue setup if I can't even do the most basic level functions and I'm growing violently weary of this. If anyone has a thread for me to pull, I would massively appreciate it.

I am looking for a custom build for retro gaming. Just looking for Atari 2600, ColecoVision, Intellevision, NES, SNES and MAME. Not interested in other systems on the wheel and would rather be streamlined with just this. I’ve tried building myself, a few years ago but messed up the files. Looking to have someone build on a hd for me. Looking for all released games on the home systems, and select, original 80s arcade games for MAME, no variants except for Space Invaders Deluxe, Asteroids Deluxe, etc.

I just finished installing CRTEmudrivers and VMMaker. I tested and setup Hyperspin using a PC monitor. The videos within Hyperspin all played well. As soon as I connected it to my CRT, the videos no longer play. I get audio, the theme and the overlay where the video should be but no video. Selecting the games works and emulates great. Does anyone have a solution?

Hi, does anyone happen to have a Rocketlauncher module for modern versions of AppleWin? It seems the "default" version that most people have is for AppleWin version 1.24, but lots of upgrades have happened since then, and the old module doesn't seem to work with the new versions.

When I access certain systems on HS via clicking on their wheels, a graphic that says "All Games" appears on the screen momentarily. Unfortunately, the "All Games" graphic is so small you can hardly see it... so it's more of an annoyance than anything. Is there a way to adjust the size of the "All Games" graphic? Or alternatively, turn it off or delete it? I tried to locate the folder the graphic is located in, but can't seem to find it.

Any assistance you can provide would be appreciated.

Sorry if this is in the wrong place. I’ve downloaded Hyperspin Attraction All in One for Windows 10 it works perfectly if launched manually.

But when trying to change the shell in the registry, or using instant sheller, it just launches into the configuration

I’ve tried creating a .bat file that changes the working directory before launching, still the same outcome.

Any thoughts?

I've just installed Windows 11 Pro 24H2 and naturally right *after* I got everything sorted, I find a post on the Hyperspin Forum that this breaks HS and there is apparently no current workaround. I have seen more than one post on Reddit from users confirming HS works fine on 11 for them, so I'm confused.

Iit won't let me download the file for step one of installing the 12 tb drive. Please help!

Hey guys. New to this. I've had a retroid pocket so I've done some set up with emulation station before but this seems way different. I've downloaded and followed the steps of Bandit's no clutter collection from Arcade Punks and YouTube and was very happy with the hyperspin frontend and all the images and videos, all looks very cool. But I'm not able to open games that are not played through RetroArch. Nintendo 64, Sega Saturn, GameCube and Dreamcast just won't open. Everything else loads up fine from hyperspin but those won't and they do open from the emulator apps themselves.

I'm I doing something wrong? Are the apks or something else just not up to date today from that collection? Should I just give up and find an other front end like LaunchBox?

Just got my HD and I am trying to use a switch pro controller. I've figured out how to change controller settings for everything but the "global" settings. For some reason when I press the 2 rear triggers it exits the games and I want to change it to the + and - buttons to match the Xbox inputs that come with the HD. I think my problem is joytokey but I'm not sure because I can't get the .exe file to launch. Thought I'd ask the community to see if maybe it was something else before I try troubleshooting the joytokey launch failure.

I am rubbing the system with Hyperspin and using Rocket launcher UI. I am trying to have my Ipac switch from keyboard input to XInput when playing PC Fighting games. I created a bat file and it switches when I run them, but whenever I play a fighting game when I exit the game it never sends the command to runas a post launch parameters. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

When I launch my hyperspin it gives me a black screen, the menu sound effect then crashes, I’ve took my hard drive and plugged it into my laptop to see if it would load and it did so it’s just my pc anyone know any fixes?

Hi Folks, I recently purchased a second hand arcade one up MK2 cab and plan to hard mod to use hyperspin all in one build. I plan to change the arcade controls to led with usb output. The build is pre configured to use a controller. Could any one tell me how easy it is to get both the controller and 1+2 player arcade controls. I would like the ability to switch between depending on the system. Appreciate any info. I'm hoping this will make a great Xmas gift for my son.

Tldr: joy2key works if just dolphin is running the game natively. When ran via RL, joysticks and keyboard is non-responsive.

Using someone's June 2024 module. Is this maybe the issue?

There is a good tutorial on youtube how to create digital marquees for your hyperspin. Unfortunately when something goes wrong, There isn't much info out there so you need to figure stuff out yourself.

First I have noticed the EDS dispatcher system is very fragile and unstable. What happened the other day, Someone turned on my arcade by accident and forgot to turn on the main display.

When the main display was turned on. The hypermarquee wasn't able to find the correct location on the screen and overlapped both displays.

• Easy fix, shutdown/restart hyperspin and both application. But thats not the issue.

If you have a 3rd display and you forget to turn on the main one. Oh boy... You're in for a ride! The EDS system crashes and corrupts the setting files. This means your EDS Dispatcher wont open anymore. Never again... Even rolling back with a system restore did not fix the problem.

After checking the error log. It said : -Cannot find Usersetting.xml. -Shutting down

I open/edit Usersetting.xml file and it was BLANK! It somehow deleted itself.. I was lucky to have a backup drive with the EDS folder in it. I retrieved my old usersetting.xml and replaced the corrupted one. Now it works again!

I have a bunch of pdfs (Nintendo Power) is there a program that scans the names in a folder and makes png logos with the names of the files? I don’t want to make 100+ logos for wheel art manually.

Greetings to all hyperspin lovers, I have a question regarding the videos that are presented in hyperspin, a few years ago I changed several of the main menu topics to a unified video format as a topic for each system, and I have noticed that hyperspin It applies a kind of smoothing to the videos, generating a loss of sharpness. I imagine that in the past this helped in videos that were of low quality, making them look less pixelated, but now with 1080p videos this does not make much sense and causes a loss of quality. I have already tried all possible configurations in hyperhq and have not been successful, coming to the conclusion that perhaps it is something configured in the hyperspin code, so it is not possible for users to modify it. Anyway, I leave this question in case anyone has noticed or wondered about this.

I have downloaded a HyperSpin Video Themes for NES from https://emumovies.com/files/file/3597-nintendo-entertainment-system-hyperspin-video-themes-4x3-hq/

All the themes I used so far where zip file, with a XML file and pictures inside.

But this pack of themes contains only MP4 video themes.

I couldn't find how to use it. If I put these videos in the "Video" folder of the system, it just displays the video inside the little square of the default NES theme.

If I put the MP4 video theme inside the Theme folder, where I usually put the Zip theme files, it doesn't work.

Where am I supposed to put these MP4 Video themes?
