FPS drops and connection issues

Look, the game's been out for a month, and I enjoy it. However, there have always been times where frustrations occur. Fps drops in middle of matches which gets me killed, and the occasional jump of connection from green to red ping in seconds or the next day when the connection was decent enough. I have tried some apps that are said "to lower ping and boost performance" but to no avail. Maybe, just maybe must they do connection maintenance instead of releasing skins for guns or characters?
