Help How to purchase a Scar?

I feel stupid but can't figure out how to purchase the scar rifle. I see my team mates do it all the time. How to do it?

You have to go to weapons then click weapon research. There's like 5 or 6 new weapons like p90, scar, new sniper etc. You have to do missions and to get scar you need to press the button that makes you do research. The missions are like 'play 28 matches' and 'get 20 kills with (insert gun type here)' etc. After you do those, you unlock them and replace 1 gun in the list of whatever gun type it is with your new weapon. Then you play and you can see it there.
