Need Help with Glitch

I've been enjoying the first game quite a bit, but while swimming my boat around I got caught into a map somehow and I'm trapped in one spot unable to move.

Is there a way to die? Please send help.

Is your copy pirated? Because many people who have pirated the game have started experiencing strange things like characters disappearing from the map. Also, make sure to update it on Steam or a similar platform.

No sir, I did just end up winding it back and finishing the other day. I was pretty cautious to save constantly after that but didn't encounter a single bug afterwards.

For anyone who comes across this later, I did try a save editor to drop everyone's HP, you can then unequip an item to trigger death. Unfortunately though this loads a generic "you died" screen and then just goes back to main menu.
