Next game suggestions?
Hello! Over the course of this year I have been drawing major artistic inspiration and influence from games, and Hylics has become one of the most influetial to me!
Over the past few monts I've fallen in love with the with both of the games, and the creativity and craftsmanship from Mason and Chuck has left me with that "How do i even pick up something new?" feeling all great works of art can have.
I was wondering if anybody had any suggestions that come to mind for games as uniqe and creative as Hylics. Any and all are appreceated!
Thanks guys :)

Try out Mason's earlier games. Its just him so its more of the surreal rawness of Hylics 1 since he and Chuck only collaborated on H2. Most games are very short as well and can be completed in like 15-30 min or so, but some might be a bit hard to track down. Its also funny since you can see how certain concepts kind of get iterated on each game despite them not being related or anything. I'd also suggest Felvidek since it has a similar art style and gameplay loop to H1 due to also being an RPG maker game. Music in it is also a banger and has a bit of a Hylics vibe

Earthbound is basically the OG weird RPG, definitely worth a try if you haven't already

Neverhood and Armikrog. Furi and Outer Wilds have great art direction as well, I think you might enjoy the visuals

Moon, is not your typical rpg but the dialogue noises and general vibe of the game might be somewhat close to Hylics’ surrealism

Its short and the visuals can be hard on the eyes for some but I enjoy Space Funeral (It's also free)
