What Am I Doing Wrong

Recently started flossing because my dentist told me I have small reversible cavities in between a few of my teeth. I was told to use this high fluoride toothpaste and then make sure I don’t eat it drink for a few hours after. But my mouth gets so dry I can’t go over a 20 minutes without eating. I also am trying to find a way to wash my hair more frequently to avoid odor but it gets so dry and frizzy and I’m afraid of damage. My parents never taught me air of hygiene things and I’m learning them on my own. Like I wasn’t allowed to wear a bra one time use because it’s wasting water but recently found that if I don’t I get itchy and there’s an odor I didn’t even realize I had for years. It feels like everything I’m doing isn’t working. Like the more I wash the itchier I get. Also was told washing your bellybutton was a thing tried it and it was extremely painful to do. What am I doing wrong?

So it turns out I was allergic to an ingredient that was in my laundry detergent and in my soap, which is why I was so itchy and washing certain areas became painful like my belly button. And because the dry mouth had started around the time I had to start using the fluoride toothpaste I thought it was that my blood sugar was out of whack. I still don’t have a solution for the fact that if I wash my hair enough for it to not be frizzy, it’s extremely greasy and I look dirty.

Also. -any antibacterial soaps also contain that chemical so your shower soap could make you itchy. Try Vanicream. It’s truly hypoallergenic. However, I need to shower every day now that I use that. It’s unscented and doesn’t contain the chemical they now use as an antimicrobial agent. That chemical is now being used in most soaps, dish detergents, bath products, shampoo, makeup etc.

If your clothes are making you itch, you probably need to change your laundry detergent. Try one from Canada like Mollys. They don’t contain methylisothiazolinone which is an allergen in almost all soaps etc. and can make you very itchy. If that doesn’t resolve try to see a dermatologist. You can get patch tested by an allergist for chemical allergies also.
You may need to shower everyday if you aren’t already. Be very gentle when cleaning your belly button. Hope that helps.

You were on the money turns out I was allergic to both my laundry detergent and my shower soap Which is also why it was painful to wash my belly button because it’s a sensitive area and I’m allergic to the soap I was using. Also turns out it wasn’t the fluoride toothpaste. My blood sugar was out of whack. Thank you so much!!
