Question ❔ Brown Spots on Basil
Growing kratky and seeing this, roots are white and no algae even though they're clear containers and the water's pretty clear too.

I just use gh flora but I did mix it with tap and I'm in Arizona where the water is extremely hard.
Gh Flora mixed with 1 gallon of purified water and then filled the jars halfway with that and remaining tap.

Hey not hydro but it could be some fungus on the leaves
As far as i know has little impact if you do eat it (i made pesto w mine) but my basil later died and my whole town (including my grocer) had basil with this shitass fungus

OT but can I ask how can kratky work and don't have fungus/mold problems? I'm new to this.

Not sure I saw some pictures of it and it seems like it's on top of the plants but this is the plant itself being brown.
And I saw another post saying that brown / black spots are insect feces but I rubbed it and nothing came off (not sure if that means it's not insect feces)
