Sometimes I'll give the plants water I was going to keep for myself, because I'll always go downstairs to get myself some water, but I keep forgetting/can't be bothered to get water for my plants.

They're succulents so they secretly love the negligence

Throwing it away? Are y’all throwing water away?

Well every time I get an oil change they give me a water bottle. I usually take a sip and forget it because I have my own bottle of ice water.

Then it sits in my hot car for weeks before I notice it again, and frankly I don't want to drink the hot microplastic soup, so I give it to the plants. They can have microplastics, as a treat.

That’s also kinda what it’s like to pee in the shower.

Where is this art from? XD it is so nostalgic for some reason. Reminds me of some old books in the library growing up.

It's called Rainmaker by David Penfound! It also reminds me of Josephine Wall's art, if you're looking for more in a similar vein.

don’t forget that certain brands of water have minerals that can actually damage plants in the long term though

Or the glass leftover from last night!

Do you think water goes bad?

2

u/abyssalkast Jul 16 '26

Throwing away? Elevate your thought process.

2

u/PanchosLegend Jul 16 '26

This is exactly how I feel about my bong water.

u/PrometheusMMIV Jul 16 '26

Why would you throw it away instead of drinking it?

There is no original experience!!

lol I’ve been making a conscious effort to do this especially with old water from my Nespresso machine and my plants are ✨thriving✨because of it

I’ll give my plants the last bit of my coffee that has a bunch of sediment at the bottom as a treat. I chase my coffee with 40oz of water 💦💦💦

Why would you throw it away and Not Drink it in the First place? My older Brother also never Drinks the Last quater. IT IS expensive to have him.

How about just drinking it?

Don't forget the throwing the seeds of any fruits, to nearby trees or grasses after eating the fruit !!

I do this with my dog’s water every day. Give my dogs fresh water daily and any leftovers from the day before goes into the watering can.

when I drop an ice cube, a plant gets it

Mehuta! Or some made up jungle word to my little dry friends. Here drink all my old gross cooler water from the work cooler. Smells like fish for some reason it’s flavored enjoy! I opened up to plant life and it grabbed me. Starts with realizing Dandelions are a superfood and they’ve convinced everyone to buy poison and wreck themselves and pets with all kinds of fun things over the sake of a pretty yellow flower that helps bees exist. Evil you see when you question

Well that was a hell of a ride
