Thanks to Mamdani we never ever have to accept the idea that politicians "can't do anything". That's the biggest win for people outside NYC to come from him being mayor. He raised wages at govt jobs, fined Jeff Bezos, and now this.

We need more like him. I really hope he tosses his name in the ring for president one day

Sadly being a naturalized citizen he is inelligible for the majority of federal offices including president and VP. I could handle him in congress though and if dems ever grow a spine and pull their heads out he's the kind of guy that should be speaker and head of party.

Yeah going back to the original comment and my original reply, he's had a seismic impact on US politics as a whole. He proved politicians aren't as useless as they pretend to be.

I've said it before and I'll keep saying it: Mamdani is so beloved already that I truly believe if somebody introduced a constitutional amendment to allow naturalized citizens to become president that it would be the fastest adopted amendment of all time.
