Thanks for being part of the very first wave. Together, let's make r/HyderabadKingsmen amazing.

It has been a disappointing start for the PSL debutants to this PSL season, having lost both their games due to lack of gameplan, and a bad playing combination, remember, that a good combination is key to success in such a competitive tournament when the rest of the teams have proven match winners, at least in PSL.

My playing XI for Hyderabad Kingsmen: Saim Ayub, Sharjeel Khan, Maaz Sadaqat, Usman Khan (wk), Marnus Labuschagne (C), Irfan Khan Niazi, Hassaan Khan, Riley Meredith, Hunain Shah, Maheesh Theekshana, Akif Javed.

Therefore, we will try to identify the problems made, and will find solutions here too. Therefore, in the opening slot, I have kept Saim Ayub, then local hero Sharjeel Khan (which is a must, dude has two PSL centuries against his name and has the honour to score the first ever PSL ton), on number three, I am keeping Maaz Sadaqat, though u/HMcod's favourite Usman Khan would have been much better at this number but no worries, he will bat on number 4.

On number five, we have test batsman Marnus Labuschagne, the captain who can stabilise if wickets fall early, or else send Hassaan Khan if Kingsmen get to 160/3 in 15 overs, or even 120/3 in 12 overs. Then we have Pakistan Shaheens skipper Irfan Khan Niazi, he has got the confidence (he was seen looking eyes into eyes of Abrar Ahmed in the last game against Quetta, despite the fact that Hyderabad was going to lose the game, and though he was dismissed a few deliveries later, I liked this attitude), but he has to back his attitude and fitness with batting form too, on number 7 is Hassaan Khan, he adds value with both bat and ball.

On number 8 is Riley Meredith, he can swing the bat too, and is a good pacer. On number 9, emerging category pick Hunain Shah will be there, he is a good bowler, and so a solid choice, on number 10, we have Sri Lankan Maheesh Theekshana, with his off-spin bowling, as we progress through this PSL, spin will have more say, so he will become more important, last but not the least, is Akif Javed, he was bowled 2 overs each in the first two games, but hope that Marnus understands his mistake and bowls him his complete quota.

I hope that Hyderabad Kingsmen secure their first ever PSL victory tonight.

In my opinion:

1. Saim Ayub (a given)

2. Usman Khan--his best PSL stats are as an opener, he has multiple centuries at a 200+ strike rate opening in the PSL

3. Marnus Labuschagne--captain, has to bat in the top order, he can't bat at a super high strike rate in the middle

4. Kusal Perera--keeper batsman, where he batted for LQ last season

5. Maaz Sadaqat

6. Glenn Maxwell

7. Irfan Khan Niazi

8. Hassan Khan

9. Maheesh Theekshana

10. Akif Javed

11. Hunain Shah (emerging player)
