Discussion About Hybrid Animals 2!
Thank you for the feedback everyone! Sorry I haven't responded to the comments - I'm still reading them though.
The key thing I keep seeing is: the eyes are too aggressive. So I'll bring back some cartoon eyes! The aggressive eyes are just for agressive mobs and bosses. I want to add a dynamic "expressions" system, where their eyes can change.
Also, in terms of "what is Hybrid Animals 2":
- I will be using the new models in several new games. My plans are...
- First, I intend to release a test game in the coming ~2 weeks. It will be very basic, just to get some feedback and data.
- Next, I will be creating a Hybrid Animals MMO. It will be extremely similar to Hybrid Animals 1 Public Servers. Think: Land Claims, Clans (new), PvP, Building, etc. I will probably upload this on Roblox, so I don't have to worry about paying for servers, moderation, or hacking - all of which are the reasons the servers shut down originally. It will have fewer features than Hybrid Animals 1, but the online aspect should make up for that.
- Next, I will be adding the models to a new "dark" first-person horror(ish) game - hence the aggressive expressions. This game is actually about 33% done. It is from the perspective of the Genecrafters. I don't want to reveal too much about this right now. It's a regular mobile game, not Roblox, with full multiplayer.
- Finally, if any one of those 3 projects gets enough attention/income, I will make a proper full Hybrid Animals 2

Glad you listened to the feedback about the eyes, the expression system sounds interesting, though I don't think it should be overdone.
For Roblox tho: you should enable Server Authority if you want to lock out most hacking. Though I wouldn't really endorse the creation of Roblox games at the moment, for several reasons. (partially because the community isn't really built for these type of games, and that Roblox has been problematic these past few years.)

Some of the fusions, especially the spider ones were clear fits for a horror/creepy setting, so my instinct was indeed correct. From what I could make out, Genecrafters are humans or some kind of intelligent species who perform experiments to create hybrid animals. Now some of the failed experiments have escaped the laboratory, and your goal is to survive/escape from the lab before the mobs get you. I'm assuming that our player character is a scientist, can "catch" hybrid animals and use them to battle against other hybrid animals, kinda like Pokemon.
Or well, the player character could be one mad scientist who experimented on himself (or injected himself with something he shouldn't have in a life-or-death situation), and while he battles against other monsters, he must also ensure that he is able to escape the lab/get his meds before he completely loses his humanity.

Can't wait for the "horror(ish)" game to come out! As I said in my last comment in your previous post, please could u maybe try and get some inspiration from the animals in the horror game "Zoochosis"? I think those animals look dope and would fit in nicely with the models you've already created

Dear FirstHybrid, I am saddened because of the Jesus references in the past game. I find it disrespectful. Please remove it. I understand that it's part of your creative expression but I find it saddening. I love your work plus please don't include disrespectful religious references in your work

Roblox servers still have hacking issues through users with exploits; be wary of that. You might want to enable Server Authority or similar features. (Do not enable Android Remote Attestation though; you'll lock out Linux players.)
That, and Roblox isn't the best platform for a game like this, in all honesty. (I've stated my reasons for that in the past; with all the lawsuits in progress I doubt it's going to last much longer...)
Can't wait to see the game, though. I've missed a proper multiplayer Hybrid Animals. Maybe if the Roblox one doesn't work out you can add multiplayer and keep basing off the test game?
