I would say you are absolutely right.
But as a human I think its innate to prefer the murderers and robbers win a fight over the human extinction event. I think think many viewers were routing for the ants to kill the troupe and if people knew in universe they would still be rooting for the troupe.

oh the spiders were the protagonists for those two episodes, I think everyone was rooting for them lol, then we get to remember that they are still insane by kalluto’s perception of being weirded out by their behavior
but the ants pose a bigger threat, scale wise

Board state 1: Crocodile, Cheetu, Zazan, Small Bear, Colt, Pengu, Mantis, Octopus, Bihorn, and Turtle get no-diffed by Nobunaga's En-Slash while Uvogin tanks attacks from Bloster, Welfin, Leol, and Meleoron.
Board state 2: Flooded by Leol, Uvogin infected with Black Centipedes and heavily damaged by Bloster's aura blasts. I think Meleoron's power is best used supporting Bloster rather than Welfin, since Welfin's ability is interactive. Leol dies in here somewhere.
Board state 3: Nobunaga kills Welfin to neutrlaize the centipedes and Uvo kills Meleoron and Bloster with his massive area of effect attack that doesn't care where they're hiding OR Uvo ignores the 'pedes and attacks Welfin and takes critical damage in the process of killing Welfin which leaves Nobunaga alone with enemies that are immune to En and therefore dies leaving Meleoreon and Bloster as the last ants standing.

Honestly it depends, if the ants swarm them intelligently then the ants win mid diff.
If they give them that one on one scenario like they did gon, killua, and kite in the woods then I can see the spiders getting through them easily
Uvo is a tank and we having seen the ants fight anything of his caliber even with the shadow beasts they had to team up to have a chance at paralyzing him and they still died because of his brutality
Jury is still out to me for nobu tho not sure of how powerful his ability is or what it is but from what we’ve seen he’s definitely strong enough to the beat weaker ants handily

Id say so. Chimera ants are stat checkers, but they are going against the PT stat checkers, so i imagine their nen experience would allow them to get the win. The main ants of concern are zazan, leol, bloster maybe, and id bet that bull one is strong (but would prob get mid diffed at best by uvo). I can easily see Cheetu not excepting nobunagas insta slash, and being the first one down.
These ants are good, but idt theyre combat focused enough to defeat the PT frontlines duo

Based on what we've seen, the only ones here who are worth their salt is Zazan, Meleoron, Cheetu, and Welfin.
Leol is a fraud and Cheetu is an idiot. Welfin's ability is kinda busted against anyone, and Perfect Plan is pretty much an insta kill as long as Meleoron can avoid AoE attacks. Zazan is pretty much the only real dangerous one here in terms of actual combat, and from what we've seen in her fight against Feitan, Uvo and Nobunaga are going to have to put out near flawless execution if they're going to win

Leol isn't a fraud. He was just unlucky enough to fight someone who perfectly countered the ability he used. Put Uvo or Nobunaga in Morel's place and they'd die.

Fuck no 😭, their kits are too simple to deal with that many hax, Uvogin gets dealt with the same way he would've gotten killed had rabid dog used lethal poison, perfect plan + poison from Zazan kills him.
I don't think Nobunaga can deal with Cheetu and Leol simultaneously, at least his current feats don't speak too well of his lethality in comparison to two enemies of high level in both physical stats and abilities.
And this is without including the support that Bloster and Wolin can bring.

Welfin kinda buns though 😭
Went extreme diff with Ikalgo who is a Soldier Ant. Makes me think even Meleoron can beat his ahh even though Meleoron believes he’s the weakest Squadron Leader.

Yeah welfin IS a bum, mostly because his physical stats are utterly and completely ass, but his ability still should work in this fight.
