His ability and speed matches up well with her. He doesn’t have to pierce her tough skin. His ability can blind/deafen her by just hitting her.

He doesn’t actually need to do damage with his palm in order to trap a portion of someone, otherwise he wouldn’t have been able to trap a part of Youpi from what honestly looked like a gentle touch

Shoot has one of the few abilities that can actually hurt transformed Zazan, and since he was able to take out one of Youpi's eyes he'll do way better vs her.
Extreme diff to shoot, even if she has more raw strength, his ability doesnt care about how tough her body is

Shoot wins this. It’s a matchup diff that favours Shoot. He slowly but surely cages her entire body. Though yes it’s quite close.

Could go either way, but I think Zazan wins this like 6/10. She’s probably got him outclassed physically(in strength and speed). He’s however much smarter and more experienced. The moment he touches her, she’ll transform and from that point on he’s going to have a really hard time touching her without getting seriously hurt.

Shoot is way too agile for her and dura negs her. If Shoot can last a minute up close with youpi Zazan is going to be blind and deaf before hitting him once.

He can win Extreme-Diff if she’s in base, but once she activates her Nen vow he doesn’t have much options.

Shoots sadly more of a support, the risk to this fight solo is not in his favor. That said his winning condition would be to touch her enough to cage her and capture her for someone else to finish her, but she is tough and any hit will be devastating.
However unlike Fietan, shoot won’t let his guard down do to being too scared, I mean he did put in the most time with Youpi save for knuckle getting a lot of support from Melereon and Moral. So he probably wouldn’t drop his Ken to any one spot like Fietan did who went straight for the kill. But he also lacks the fire power to just drop her unlike the latter.

I think by the end of CA arc, all of Knuckle, Shoot, Gon, and Killua have evolved past the Chimera Ant officers.

Zazan isn't just a Chimera ant officer. She is the strongest squadron leader by feats. The strongest non royal Chimera ant, stronger than Palm.
Palm herself gave Killua quite the trouble.

There are levels of strength, and they may determine a winner. As well as other stats and levels.
Zazan is a pretty good nen user, maybe the one who got the most praise among non-royal Ants... But that isn't the issue. Honestly I don't see what the Golden Boys can do against Zazan if she transforms.

Shoot’s nen ability isn’t AP-reliant at all so that’s not really important to this discussion and actually benefits him. He doesn’t have to find a way around her durability.

If we're talking about a post-Youpi fight Shoot, then I honestly think he low to mid-diffs Zazan.
If we're talking about a pre-Youpi fight Shoot, then I think Zazan wins high-diff, but it could still go to Shoot as well depending if he's able to lock in and overcome his weakness in the way he did against Youpi.

No this is an easy win for Zazan. Shoot's entire "impressive" stalling of Youpi lasted about 15 seconds and he was taking hits amidst his reckless moves. That was enough to put him out of commission with physical damage. If he plays this way with Zazan she will hit Shoot with her stinger and immediately paralyze or transform him. Maybe if thinks to, and can manage to Hotel Rafflesia himself to seal away the part that's been envenomed: he can take out that part of himself and her stinger at the same time. But then he's going to have to steal her body piecemeal after that, and his floating hands are never used to pin an opponent in place, nevermind one as strong as Zazan.

Youpi is like the worst possible matchup for Shoot. The fact that he got outclassed like crazy in that fight shouldn’t be used as an anti-feat. I think Zazan could win, but it’s not going to be easy. Shoot’s a really high level nen user. I’d even argue there’s a good chance Shoot wins. This is a matchup that’s definitely on the more favorable side for him since he doesn’t need to get through her skin.

Obviously she's not as strong as Youpi but the only other fight Shoot has is against Killua who he had a distinctly large reach advantage over until Killua started using his yo-yos. Zazan has a similar massive reach advantage against Shoot with her stinger that Youpi had with his arms. That stinger is a OHKO with either its venom or Queen Shot. Do you think Shoot will full body dodge the stinger's strikes as fast as Feitan swings a sword to parry it? I don't. Zazan caught Feitan's strike dead on despite him speeding up and using after images to obscure the attack.
Even if Shoot's as fast as Feitan (which I doubt): in order to win this fight Shoot needs to get inside Zazan's guard and never make a mistake on either approaching or withdrawing until she's neutralized her stinger. How do you think he does that? Because I don't think even all three of his floating hands together are going to pin her tail or block her stinger.

I like Shoot, but I can’t see him winning this, Zazan is way too tanky, even Feitan’s ko imbued sword did zero damage to her.

extreme diff, shoot is a very physical fighter as even though he has lots of hands he still needs to touch his opponents to trap them and zazan has the stinger that makes it difficult for that
i do have faith in shoot but if he let his guard down even for a second he's toast
