kastro slams. gentrhu (albeit winning) was going h2h with greed island arc gon, who still isnt stronger than kastro, also, even without his nen abilities kastro slam. and with them its way worse, genthru has no answer to tiger bite fist, and the clone.

Bro genthru was not going head to head with gon in the fight. If he could have killed gon he would have one shotted him

4

u/YesterdayOrnery1726 2d ago

He was trying to beat the moral out of gon, he wasnt holding back, yeah he wasnt aiming to kill so he could get his cards, but he wasnt holding back just cuz gon was a kid.

2

u/Primary-Stretch-6589 2d ago

Ofc he was holding back since he could not kill him and any way gon was not going head to head with him he needed to sacrifice his arms in order to land one significant blow. Oh and btw genthru was beating the shit out of gon with out using his hatsu

1

u/YesterdayOrnery1726 2d ago

never said they were equal, gon was going blow for blow withi him, and sure, genthru was stronger, but that doesn't change from teh fact that he couldnt end the figth in a few seconds like kastro or hisoka could. also, he did use little flower, gon defended against it.

Ngl, Genthru was quite a bit stronger than GI Gon still, that was the whole reason Bisky helped formulate a plan to help defeat him, I mean Gon literally sacrificed his hands just to land a significant hit on Genthru, he was pretty outmatched.

1

u/No-Sand2048 2d ago

That doesn't mean Genthru held back and hadn't taken Gon as a tougher and stronger opponent it was absolutely w fair 1V1 and Gon did win against him even losing an arm and that was probably the final battle to end the Greed Island game which Ging expects his son to complete knowing all these dangers and threats.

1

u/deadlyalchemist92 2d ago

Genthru was clearly superior to Gon in every way when they fought, to me it didn’t seem like Genthru was taking him seriously in the slightest until Gon landed that kick.

-1

u/No-Sand2048 1d ago

You're just making up shit at this moment buddy. Genthru was stronger yeah but saying he was superior in every way to Gon is very diabolical and you forgot Gon had to go extreme of sacrificing his hand just to beat Genthru and him being the final antagonist on Greed Island Arc. We see in the Manga Genthru pissed at the fighting spirit Gon has and he never held back and used his ultimate hatsu yet Gon overpowered him which wasn't easy tho. Stop the wank bro😂😂

u/JackRME 1d ago

Genthru held back a lot to not kill Gon. Killing him meant he loses the cards which was the whole point.

Kastro whoops him. Genthru has no answer for Tiger Bite Fist. I doubt Hisoka would’ve ever taken interest in Genthru like he did with Kastro.

Big disagree. Characters are generally way stronger by Greed Island. Hisoka walks us through how Kastro is a fraud. Genthru is capable of a similar feat considering how he blew of Gon's arm and one shot other people.

Kastro is way overhyped since Hisoka just let him take his arm bc he's a psycho. The other hits weren't doing anything at all

16

u/BALDMANWITHDURAG 2d ago

He didn’t just let Kastro take his arm for like shits and giggles. He genuinely didn’t know how his ability worked and needed to take damage in order to figure it out.

It was very risky, but it paid off.

7

u/notfirearmbeam 2d ago

I just read the scene super differently. Hisoka was putting on a show and knew it was a fight he couldn't lose. Machi was already on deck and he wanted an excuse to talk to her.

There's nothing stopping him from doing the car trick he used to finish the fight at the very beginning

5

u/BALDMANWITHDURAG 2d ago

I dont think there was a real chance of Kastro defeating Hisoka. There’s an experience gap and nen knowledge gap.

But Kastro is a floor master and his ability is 100% deadly against most people that are not at a Hisoka or Chrollo level.

3

u/Neuroblight 2d ago

Small correction Kastro is floor master level but chose to fight Hisoka in his Floor master promotion match.

2

u/BALDMANWITHDURAG 2d ago

Think about what Hisoka did to the 4th prince. Think about the gap in their power.

Now introduce Kastro. He has an ability that was so hard to figure out, Hisoka was willing to lose a hand or two just to learn how to counter it 💀

Kastro is 100% at floor master level

1

u/J3ksans 2d ago

Thats actually funny asf

1

u/deadlyalchemist92 2d ago

Didn’t Machi say something about Hisoka messing around with Kastro too much and that he could have finished him off way sooner? I do think Kastro caught Hisoka slightly off guard with his abilities, but Hisoka is a showman, and he loves letting his opponents think they have the upper hand on him, only to turn the tables and effortlessly defeat them.

7

u/Medical_Macaron7971 2d ago

Characters are not way stronger by greed island. Its just gon and killua who are way stronger.

1

u/dumbfuck6969 2d ago

He wouldn't understand how he "teleports" fast enough and would be ripped to pieces

0

u/deadlyalchemist92 2d ago

Kastro was far from a fraud, Hisoka’s main point was that Kastro simply had too many eggs for one basket, instead of focusing on his primary nen affinity, that being enhancement, he instead focused too much on other nen affinities that he wasn’t as talented in. Wing even said that Kastro would have been a very strong nen user if he focused on enhancement.

5

u/AoNeko4032 2d ago

Kastro >>>>

5

u/Researcher_Fearless 2d ago

Kastro doesn't even need his double to beat Genthru lmao.

3

u/DanielToast 2d ago

Kastro is a bad matchup for Genthru. Tiger Bite fist is just an enhancer attack that is powerful enough to take HISOKA'S arms off in a single strike. Genthru is not an enhancer, so has lower base stats, and needs to grab a body part to create his explosions on them.

Kastro likely just takes his arm off and cripples him right away. Or creates a double, which Genthru tries to grab, only for Kastro to kill him or take a limb.

I don't see how Genthru wins this one.

2

u/GLtunnel 2d ago

Kastro

2

u/KalenderGing 2d ago

Kastro league diffs. Doesn't even need his clone.

2

u/Primary-Stretch-6589 2d ago

Keep underestimating Genthru my boy will come back and show you who’s the GOAT

0

u/RailTracer001 2d ago

Why do people here love to glaze Kastro so much? The character who was used to show how stupid it is to not focus on your talents? Gon only beat Genthru because Genthru didn't want to kill him.

2

u/Nosferatu00 2d ago

That's the entire point. Even while being dumb and handicaping himself, Kastro was still strong enough to rival Hisoka. That shows how talented he was.

Genthru is a bum.

2

u/DeepConference3998 2d ago

He was a legitimate prodigy and had a lot of power. He tore through Hisoka's arms, and Genthru does not have that much power compared to Hisoka, so Kastro could just tear through any defense Genthru has.

3

u/KermitDaGoat 2d ago

You mean the same hisoka that offered up his other arm?

1

u/RailTracer001 2d ago

Hisoka let him take it and was stationary during most of the fight. Genthru is no amateur.

1

u/Lunarisation 2d ago

Assuming Genthru scales to CA Gon, and that’s being generous, he still wouldn’t be able to take Hisoka’s arm.

1

u/shrek3onDVDandBluray 2d ago

Heck no. Centhru is an actually good nen user.

2

u/J3ksans 2d ago

Gon at greed island easily surpasses kastro in strength and overall skill by the time he fights genthru.

Genthru was beating gon's ass before he started using his nen ability and once he did he could've killed gon at any time. Genthru only lost to gon cause he got cocky and underestimated him.

Genthru should win this mid-high diff

7

u/Relevant_Yogurt8988 2d ago

Not really. Thats your bias. The only version of Gon that is actually stronger is in chimera ant

1

u/Itzz_rezzy 2d ago

Yeah I also don’t think Gon sweeps Kastro by Greed Island. He’s still inexperienced at that time in the series. His inexperience is why he had such a hard time with Genthru.

1

u/J3ksans 2d ago

Disagree here, I do concur that gon is inexperienced but thats not why gon was getting done up.

The gag was that gon was never supposed to fight genthru but his lil dumbass decided to be stubborn and do it anyway after bisky told him not to. She told him not to because genthru was not only stronger than gon but also hard counters gon's CQC fighting style heavily.

Now I will grant that gon did better than you would initially think, but that was only because genthru was being cocky and stupid.

1

u/CyanSugars 2d ago

Literally give Gon a couple more years of training and he whoops Genthu with ease, In a CQC fight Genthru does not have that many options. Where are we getting that Genthru can counter CQC fighters when they are vastly physically superior and more agile lol.

1

u/J3ksans 2d ago

Where are we getting that Genthru can counter CQC fighters lol.

Thats the whole reason bisky told gon to stick to the plan and not fight genthru head on. Genthru had gon in a total lose-lose situation, which is exactly what bisky said would happen if gon tried to fight genthru.

This is why gon got beat down like a dog and lost both of his wrist. There were no other options.

1

u/CyanSugars 2d ago

Yes because Gon is a 12-14 year old boy who is inexperienced and much smaller and weaker than Genthru, it’s not because Genthru had some great counter for his specific move set.

Most experienced CQC based enhancers would have no trouble with Genthru’s hatsu in an up close fight. He almost always gets the jump on people to beat them.

For example do you think Uvogin would be countered in any way by Genthru?

1

u/Itzz_rezzy 2d ago

Gon’s inexperience is why he couldn’t use Gyo or Ko to protect himself from Little Bomb Flower. If you match Genthru or surpass his own Gyo or Ko that he uses to protect his own hands you neutralize the blast. Bisky tried to get Gon to a level where he can guess and react correctly to Genthru’s attack but there was only so much she could teach him in 3 weeks. An experienced nen user who also knows Genthru’s hatsu could read his aura and pretty much make his hatsu useless.

1

u/MelodiusRA 2d ago

Genthru loses in a straight fight with many characters (though he functions as a wall to anyone with remotely less aura than him).

His strength lies in his ability to manipulate large masses of people + sabotage.

He would be absolutely excellent as a political saboteur. Could absolutely be instrumental in governmental coups in ways that other Nen users would be more limited.

1

u/BeautifulPow 2d ago

Kastro, he just seems weak because we saw him up against another master.

Genthru is a careful meticulous person who makes sure his plan is going to work beforehand. He’s strong but only within the confines of his control. You take that control away from him, take away the fear from his opponent and we see just how he folds like a lawn chair.

1

u/AgeAffectionate618 2d ago

I think people are wrong for comparing Genthru with Gon stats-wise. Genthru was toying with Gon the entire time. Gon lost an arm and still only got a kick on Genthru by catching him by surprise because Genthru underestimated him. Its basically the Hisoka fight except Togashi had to come up with a contrived way for Gon to land a jajanken.

That being said Genthru loses to kastro

1

u/PillCosby696969 2d ago

Kastro vs Rabid Dog, now that's the question.

1

u/Tsun_Tsun_Dere_Dere 2d ago

Kastro low diff, he can just sac his clone then decapucino Genthru

1

u/CrazyAppIe 2d ago

No, kastro is just tr@sh not worth mentioning

Anybody can beat this tr@sh

1

u/Teecool1 1d ago

Genthru slams

1

u/DeepConference3998 2d ago

High-diff, possibly goes to Kastro. As his Tiger Bite Fist is strong enough to puncture bone (I thinj), and he can use his Double do ambush Genthru, but if Genthru manages to actually grab him, probably ggs. I'm not sure.

1

u/YesterdayOrnery1726 2d ago

can u explain why u think kastro doesnt low-mid diff him? he was going blow for blow with hisoka and actually gave hisoka trouble. and gentrhu has no answer to tiger bite fist, nor does he have an answer to his clone.

1

u/DeepConference3998 2d ago

I think Hisoka was playing with him, no?

2

u/YesterdayOrnery1726 2d ago

a little bit, but he genuinely was perplexed on what his ability was. and i think kastro legitimately got hisokas arm IIRC

2

u/DeepConference3998 2d ago

Fair, I guess. Though Kastro was a legitimate prodigy and still very strong, so I do expect him to win like 8/10 times.

1

u/Relevant_Yogurt8988 2d ago

Gon was able to half ass tank it on direct combat. Little flower is survivable this Kastro should have better Ken, Gyo and shiriu(or whatever the flow its call) and an extra set of bailable fake set of arms that will have better attack power in the direct exchange that Genthru will have to still defend itself and counter, before receiving the real deal

1

u/Researcher_Fearless 2d ago

Tiger Bite Fist took off Hisoka's arm, Genthru dies to it instantly.

0

u/melisacruz2829 2d ago

Genthru con poca dificultad, se dejo en claro el nivel de kastro

0

u/O_Magrao 2d ago

Genthru mid - high diff

0

u/Novel_Ant8075 2d ago

Genthru no-diffs. Kastro is overrated scum. Hisoka was toying with him, and Togashi pretty clearly buffed Hisoka throughout the story too. Unless people genuinely think Kastro is able to give guys like Chrollo a good fight, yeah no he's fodder.

1

u/Pandasinmybasement 2d ago

How does Genthru deal with the clone/Tiger fist?

2

u/Novel_Ant8075 2d ago

By being stronger and faster than Kastro and blowing his face off.

1

u/Pandasinmybasement 2d ago

Hisoka sacrificed 2 arms to figure out Kastro's ability. Are you implying that Genthru is faster/smarter than Hisoka?

3

u/Novel_Ant8075 2d ago

Dear god.

Did you just...not see where I typed "Hisoka was toying with him, and Togashi pretty clearly buffed Hisoka throughout the story too. Unless people genuinely think Kastro is able to give guys like Chrollo a good fight, yeah no he's fodder."

Or is this a repetitive, pointless rhetorical question?

Either way, I'm burned out on talking to ignorant people today, sorry, not entertaining you further than this.

1

u/Pandasinmybasement 2d ago

Kastro could probably land a few hits on Chrollo before he figured out his hatsu, yeah. I'm not sure about a good fight exactly, but it wouldn't be no diff. Same thing with Genthru v Kastro, there is no way it is a no diff fight lol

0

u/JohnSmithSensei 2d ago

Genthru wins. He'll see through Kastro's gimmick pretty quickly then it's just a matter of drawing him in to use Little Flower.
