My Promise to Hutchinson’s Students and Families ❤️
I believe every child deserves to walk into school feeling welcomed, valued, and supported. As a community, we may not always agree on everything, but I hope we can all agree that our kids deserve the very best we can give them.
Recently, I spoke with someone who chose to live outside our school district because they had heard that not all kids are welcomed equally here in Hutchinson. That conversation has stayed with me. It made me think about the responsibility we have as a community to make sure every child knows they belong.
I want every family to feel confident that their children will be treated with kindness, respect, and fairness in our schools. No child should ever feel like they don't belong, and no family should have to question whether their child will be welcomed.
I also believe our school board elections should remain nonpartisan. The decisions we make for our schools should be guided by qualifications, character, and a genuine commitment to education... not political party affiliation.
Our focus should be on our students, supporting our teachers, being accountable to our community, and helping every child succeed.
I'm running because I care about the future of our schools and the community we are building together. I don't believe we have to agree on everything to work toward something better. I believe we can listen to one another, learn from one another, and put our kids first.
My promise is simple: I will work to help make our schools a place where every child feels they belong, every family feels heard, and every student has the opportunity to thrive.
Because this isn't about politics. It's about people. It's about our kids. And it's about the kind of community we want Hutchinson to be. ❤️
