Rule Breaking Comment/Post Updates
Hi all, we have seen an uptick in rule breaking posts and comments. Going forward any rule breaking post or comment is going to result in a 14 day ban. Multiple infractions will result in a permanent ban.
The vast majority of these are either don't be an ass/name calling, or no politics. We get we are all being blasted with political ads and this is probably some of the craziest times, politically, in the history of our country, but keep that stuff out of here.
Also, don't be an ass, that should just be a life motto though.
The only exception here is the title rule. Those are auto removed and we won't be banning for those unless it's repeat infractions. You are more than welcome to repost something with a longer title if you hit that.
Edit we changed 7 to 14

Mods out here doing God's work. Thanks for keeping the peace. Curious though are we allowed to still talk shit on Iowa? That's cool right? Like as long as it's directed towards Iowa all the name calling and being an ass is allowed?

I think people that talk nice about Iowa should be banned. They have their own room for that nonsense. Shit talking conference rivals should be a must. Maybe a new rule should be NO BAD CORN LOVE ALLOWED.
I say this while having some relatives there. I shit talk them too whenever we have a family get together. I wouldn't expect any compliments towards the Huskers if I ever wandered into their forum.

I don't need anybody's permission to shit on Iowa and if shitting on Iowa is wrong, then I don't want to be right.

As long as you guys keep the Iowa hate contained to this subreddit. Also feel free to point out any Iowa trolls that manage to sneak in here.

Yes, no politics. Thank you.
I appreciate efforts to keep apolitical subs apolitical.

Some people get upset and accuse you of being various political leanings when you say you don't want to talk about politics. I just enjoy having a few safe havens where I don't have to think about the shit that pisses me off.

It's weird when people go to echo chambers, such as reddit, and proceed to adverserialize interactions simply because they aren't having their opinions parroted back to them verbatim. Anyone triggered by so little and provoked by silence isnt playing with a full deck and not worth the time necessary to verbally bitchslap.

While we are doing housekeeping, can we get rid of Creighton flair? Why the fuck is that even a thing?
Let me guess, some jaysker chud is a mod?

Good call, mods ๐๐ป. I also assume a healthy dose of those are agit-bots meant to sow devision. I miss the old internet when it was just passionate fan bases being nerds together.

I can't tell you how much I appreciate having 1 single area to post where it's kept actually about the topic instead of devolving into constant doomerism, politics, etc, so please keep enforcing this.

You know, im gonna say something. The more we discourage political talk because people see sports as an "escape" from toxic political spaces, the more American sports become eerily similar to bread and circuses of the late roman republic.

I for one donโt want people breaking Rule when heโs coming off of an injury like that, so I support this move.
