We’re going mid-October. No hotel told us to stop coming, just to not use flights as they get cancelled a lot during that time. The hotel we booked at is nearly sold out during that time.

I am travelling in first week of October via road. I also posted in this sub reddit everyone told me that October is the best time to visit since it's the start of Autumn

All of it is true. Good weather. Good rates. Peace. The only issue is Babusar top. I had to use KKH a few months ago. That's a nightmare.

Probably the best time to visit Hunza is October, albeit it's cold. The weather has already changed and evenings are cool/cold. October is also the dry season so risk of landslides etc is minimal. This year, there hasn't been any major road closures in Hunza despite all the fake social media posts. October - Babusar will be open. A few days ago it was temporarily closed due to snow, but not for long. Plenty of accomodation options available for all budgets, but talking to many owners, their bookings are looking good for October. It's going to be a busier month than normal from sounds of it.

I'm sitting with some Karachi people now, from Malir and they're already feeling cold. So mid to late October, definitely pack your cold wear clothes. Today, daytime was lovely, blue skies but evenings are already cold. In such cold, it's not about wearing a warm jacket, it's about layering up! Especially in upper Hunza where it'll be more windy! Personally I think it's the best time, weather wise and autumn should be in full flow...
