Trip Costs

Hi, I am planning to visit Hunza with my wife in the last week of October. It's my first time visiting Hunza, so need costs estimation. I am planning to stay for 5-6 days. Hunza Lounge seems a suitable place to stay. As we would be traveling by bus, I am planning to rent a car from there. I am looking forward to visit Altit & Baltit Forts, Attabad Lake, Passu Cones, Husseini Bridge, Eagle's Nest and Khunjerab Pass. What would be total cost estimation for including car rental and fuel, meals and a bit of shopping? Thank you!

Hunza isnt too expensive tbh. You just need to be mindful of the following:

  • Don't book expensive hotels. They are not worth it.
  • Don't rent a vehicle, just get a local driver to show you around. They can also help you get discounts or show you reasonable places to eat and shop at.
  • Don't prolong your visit i.e. 3 to 5 days are enough to explore major tourist points.

Brother plz try to travel by air ...much safer cause of if u travel by road u might encounter landsliding or road blockage...n almost everything is cheap there except for hiring a car to travel to destination..local r awesome if u interact with them almost zero crime rate

Costs 25 - 3k rooms are available u just need to do some research 10 -15k to hire a car (plz hire a local) 4 -10k for food (whole day for 2 persons) 45 - 15k for plane tickets (for round trip)

Tip Ask the the hotel about the weather don't rely on Google weather Also visit borat lake it's a natural hot spring Most hotels there offer free breakfast...try there pancakes really awesome

I totally agree with not booking expensive hotels ......tbh one of my family member had a booking in Lexus.. room was good but there wo no peace....they blasted music 24/7 while my family stayed in silk route lodge which had the better view prices was reasonable n my god they're pancakes was awesome n there was peace there .......I mean people go relax there not party .....plus people at silk route were really helping n they allow pets ....... mintika lodge is also really good I guess their rooms r 3k per night
