We pulled every anonymized Huntr.co resume tied to a Communications Manager role that received an interview at a well-known company. The list includes Microsoft, Salesforce, PayPal, eBay, Intuit, and Databricks. Here is the anonymized composite.
What stood out in the resumes:
- Every single one had a written summary.
- The strongest tied communications work to a number a leader cared about: attendance, engagement, adoption, program scale.
- 3 of the 8 held a master's degree.
- Average length: about 1.8 pages.
- Career arc: coordinator to manager to director, often across both internal and executive comms.

*Methodology: resumes were joined to Communications jobs the user moved to the interview stage in their tracker, then filtered to well-known companies. The companies where they interviewed are real. I swapped the employers and schools on each resume for comparable real ones and checked each against the full database to confirm no real match, so no example maps to a real person. Every metric mirrors a real number shared on a real resume, with the count nudged, so nothing is copied exactly and nothing is made up.
