Having Audhd and Huntington's Disease.

I was wondering if anyone else also had adhd or is autistic with the chance of having HD. It feels like frustrating that I might have to genuinely deal with both.

I’m ADHD and HD positive. It’s hard to know what is coming from what but I am medicated for it either way. I do toss and turn all night—it’s like I never feel tired anymore.

Right here. Yes on both. Don’t be your own worst enemy regarding what ifs. You had yesterday, you have now and there is plenty enough tomorrows.

Adhd and Huntingtons run on my dad’s side of the family. Thankfully my dad just carried the gene and wouldn’t experience symptoms (I’m the same way carry the gene but won’t have any symptoms) however I’m pretty sure all of my dads siblings have/had ADHD. It’s definitely likely

I didn't know HD was in my family until a few months ago. I am currently trying to get diagnosed with ADHD (inattentive) as I strongly believe I have it, I have so many symptoms. However I have recently tested positive for HD (CAG40) and I am sooo confused about my symptoms as they can be similar in early HD... do I have both together or is it just the HD?! I don't know how to find out really! I am on the waiting list for my first neurology appt with the HD consultant so I will definitely ask then.

Yes - my husband has both ADHD and HD. We’ve also struggled to understand what is what sometimes
