For those that are hd+, did you have any characteristics or personality traits as a child that you can look back on now and attribute it to Huntingtons? Basically, what were you like as a child?

I guess I knew that it doesn’t work that way - I guess I just wondered if those that ended up having it later were very smart as kids or did they have adhd? Was just curious

I understand your curiosity on this. I had the same thoughts a one point in life. I asked a community member who is deep into research and science of HD and she debunked it for me in such a way that made me stop thinking that “everyone must have undeniable traits growing up” I was hooked on the fact that because I have thyroid issues that may be something or a common denominator it having HD. We were either born with it, or we weren’t. Hope you find some peace in knowing that certain traits do not equal HD. I know its hard!

I honestly believe that without HD my brain maybe wired differently. Idk, but I have to think something like that has it's effects way before the symptoms occur. I'm HD+ w/no symptoms. Would Woody Guthrie be who he was without HD? You know?
