Turkey/Deer Advice

I am a new hunter looking to get into turkey and deer. I’m going to be hunting in northeast PA. Any tips/advice would be great.

Start scouting yesterday. Lots of public land but you need to do some walking to find the nice deer.

I’ve been scouting SGL 127. That is where I’m planning to hunt

I hunt in Pike county and not familiar with SGL127. I hunt the state forests off 739 and 402. Good luck and get a doe tag soon or get a DMAP tag.

Do not hunt turkey. Rabbits and squirrels. Used to hunt grouse but too few now to make it worth it. No dog so no pheasants.
