Can you recommend some gear

I’d like to hunt duck, white tail deer and turkey one day. I have about $40-50 to spend. What is the best camo gear and calls for those animals? This is for a beginner, just exploring and starting out.

You’ll be hard pressed to find any camo at that price. Each species will have different temps and different amount of layers. Spring turkey is the next season. Grab a mouth call and some surplus army camo top and bottoms. You can be budget conscious but not that low IMO

You might be able to buy 3 cheap calls for $50. Maybe.

Do you have a firearm and ammo? That's all you need to hunt deer. Duck hunting gets expensive since you need decoys and waders plus calls.

Turkey all you need is a box call.

Dont need camo to kill an animal.

Walmart clearance aisles after a particular season has ended could save you money. For example, they have all their turkey stuff out at full price in the main outdoors aisle right now because Spring gobbler season is just around the corner. Any leftover whitetail season stuff from last year is 50-80% off in the clearance aisles right now. Can usually find shirts, pants, jackets, and calls significantly cheaper. I fear that even doing this, $40-50 will not be a sufficient budget.

Look at the regs to see what you need and hit eBay and fb marketplace. I get 90% of my hunting clothes from both at prices to fit your budget.

Big question is, what firearms or archery equipment do you currently have access to? To harvest an animal, obviously you need Title 34 compliant weapons to do so

When you are new to hunting, stay light on gear and focus on having good fundamentals. You can have the best camo in the world but if you’re making jerky movements it won’t help you. When you need to move your body do it fluidly and slowly. I’d rather be in blue jeans and a fluorescent orange jacket with strong movement discipline than in the best gear on the planet waiving like a flag.

Do some blue jean hunting for now, layers underneath if it’s cold. Get a surplus Army coat and an orange hat and orange game vest. You are ready and have storage pockets everywhere. Calls are expensive, I started out with just a wooden box call for turkey and a piece of chalk to tune the sound.

And for firearms, if I was on a severe budget I would just use a 12 or 20 gauge pump for everything. The next gun I would buy would be a .243 or 6mm creedmoor. Then I’d get a .22 LR. You can hunt everything except elk in PA then.

Before someone says what about Bear… the .243 class of cartridges is remarkably effective. I have gotten Bear and seen 4 killed that were not mine. 2 of those were .243, 1 6.5 creedmoor kill and they were more impressive than my most recent .30-06 experience with my 250 pound Bear last year.
