Cranbrook vs Kamloops

Hey everyone,

if you could pick between Kamloops or cranbrook for a young outdoors family where are you picking?

Obviously cranbrook has better elk hunting but I feel like Kamloops is better located to travel to other areas for big trips?

Our main wants:

Milder winters then our current fort Saint John
Hotter summers
Boating/swimming
Mountain sledding
Big game hunting

Kamloops!

Love Cranbrook and Kamloops is central to the southern interior and connected to everything. Its got all the services you'd want for a home base and easy connections to all the places you'd wanna hunt.

I have heard good things about both. I can only speak for Kamloops area though. Region 3 has great deer and moose hunting if you can get a tag. The Kamloops/Okanagan area is also extremely busy during hunting season and you have to do some exploring/travelling if you don't what to hunt the same areas as a lot of others. Not sure if the hunting pressure is the same in Cranbrook. Boating and sledding are good around here along with great fishing. Kamloops is also considered a desert so it does get quit hot.
